Not sure what to do

hello all where would I be without this site, my frozen shoulder story goes like this I've had frozen shoulder since July 2014had to steroid injections which didn't work at all physiotherapy also didn't work and acupuncture which dare I say didn't work .The pain I don't need to tell you all it's been awful had some time off work but you have to to get on with things work have been great, where I am now with frozen shoulder the pain has really got much easier over the last month and dare I say bearable but I am still very frozen but can put up with that, now my problem is to make a decision as to whether I should go ahead with manipulation or not as I really don't want to start up any terrible pain again should I just let my shoulder take its course as that seems to be the only thing that works. Just wondering if there's anyone out there that has been in my position really not sure what to do . X

hi stacey i too had all the same treatment as you , which failed so i had manipulative surgery which did work  so maybe you should consider surgery , but if your not in too much pain maybe letting it run its course is a good idea , trouble with that is you wont know for how long ,

hi Debbie im not sure why my arm aches , maybe its something to do with the exercises the physio gave me to do , i do them on and off all day , been a waste of time so far because it hasent worked :-(

Ive been doing exercises my physio gave me too....useless too! But if they say they work then who am i to disagree!! Lol. hurt myself pretty bad last night, no idea what i did apart from my husband waz making me laugh and my arm sort of fell backwards and omg pain was unbearable. It must have had a spasm or something, i felt it drop forward again, like it did a few weeks ago (but i passed out with the pain), but i was able to keep myself from collapsing. Then with the aid of heat pad it subsiided..x

Finally got my date through for manipulation , 11 May i've decided to go ahead with the procedure even though still very worried about the procedure I have a job that is physical which involves me having to lift my arms up all the time does anyone know how long I am likely to have to have off work after the manipulation as you don't really get told anything it's only what you read .

Hi Stacey, I'm having further MUA on the 20th April - this will be the second time sad  The first time my consultant said he would manipulate gently & if he feels to much resistence he would perform arthroscopy & proceed which he did - he shaved some of the bone & cartilage & also removed the scar tissue that had bulit up inside my shoulder to give me more room to move my shoulder about............ But its difficult to push hard with excercises they give you afterwards because of the raw nerve endings after the shaving - I refroze which app is very common sad  Soooo I'm going through the manipulation again which he says should sort me out! He did say inside my shoulder was very bad with lots of scar tissue - very sticky sad  He told me roughly it would be abt 6weeks off work - I am lucky that I took early retirement so dont go to work any more - I still can't wash my hair/tie it up or drive sad   Very annoying!!!! Good luck with your surgery - other people who have mua sail through it so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you...........FS sucks sad
