Not sure what to do

hello all where would I be without this site, my frozen shoulder story goes like this I've had frozen shoulder since July 2014had to steroid injections which didn't work at all physiotherapy also didn't work and acupuncture which dare I say didn't work .The pain I don't need to tell you all it's been awful had some time off work but you have to to get on with things work have been great, where I am now with frozen shoulder the pain has really got much easier over the last month and dare I say bearable but I am still very frozen but can put up with that, now my problem is to make a decision as to whether I should go ahead with manipulation or not as I really don't want to start up any terrible pain again should I just let my shoulder take its course as that seems to be the only thing that works. Just wondering if there's anyone out there that has been in my position really not sure what to do . X

Hi stacy. I dont know what to do either. Ibe had 2 lots of steroid injections and have physio next week. Im also seeing a surgeon on thurs to discuss the next step, which is hydrodilitation, which i think im going to go for. If thats doesnt work think i will have the mua, which seems less invasive than actual surgery. But will wait and see what he says. I just want this all over. So debilitating and annoying. Cant wear nice clothes to work, have to wear what fits over my head without tpulling my shoulder. Want to get back into the gym asap. My arms were always stronger than my legs and now all i can do is leg exercises and cardio. X

Hi Linda. Well today went well, specialist said NOT to have steroid injections for fs...does no good whatsoever! So im booked in for hydrodilitation in 3weeks time...just in time for my week off!!! Lol xx. I have to do nothinh for 2 days after and then must move it after that, so i might have some osteopath appts and physio cos i dont want this to freeze again. They say hydro has a 98.5% success rate. So keep your fingers crossed

      Xxxx

    Hi Stacey

I had an accident at work in December 2013 and was told i didnt need any xrays as i had pulled muscles in my neck and shoulder.  In september 2014 i saw a consultant and it was found i had suffered an acromial /clavicle injury which i had arthroscopic decompression and excision of my distal clavicle on my left shoulder 1/02/2015  this is 9 weeks ago now i have frozen shoulder and the pain is excruciating i dont know if the pain from my shoulder before surgery was more bearable.  I saw consultant agai las week and had cortisone injection that hasnt worked , have to go back in two months and possibly have removal of the capsule in the shoulder.  During my surgery my Consultant released my bicep tendon which i didnt know was going to happen and further to my pain i also have a weak arm!! Its very depressing not bieng able to carry out normal activities of daily life, and everyone looks at you and because they cant see apparant injury tend to think you are fine if, if they only knew the half. not bieng able to drive is frustrating having to be run around by friends and family etc etc. I only hope i get sorted out soon before i go mad lol  I work for NHS so at least i get paid for bieng off . good luck x
