Now i'm just desperate, can't take it anymore.

so, just an update, i have TN on both sides which was cause by hospital dental work (i still need some teeth pulling) someone has just upset me so much.
they said that because i have it both sides that an MVD operation would not work as there is a compression of the nerve and this is much less likely to be the cause of bilateral TN.
im so upset i just don't know what to do apart from ending my life, thats the only way out from this. im sorry but im so upset.

Really sorry to read that things are so wretched for you. Life can be a real bummer at times! Please get some professional help to support you through this. I'm not an expert on what's available but The Samaritans would be an option and they're just a phone call away. People think that such support is only for others but it's not - it's for you and me - ordinary people who have been pushed to the edge for whatever reason! Do something, my friend, that will bring some fresh hope, new ideas and perhaps another way of looking at life. Don't let this pull you down any further, you're worth more - we all are!! Take care of yourself. Colin x

Good to hear from you.
I'm actually on 400mg a day, as things have subsided a bit. I keep the dose to the minimum that will just suppress the pain. It's working and I'm very lucky, I know. I'm not on any other medication.
The pain clinic you are visiting sounds a very useful way of gaining access to others who might help you - getting your GP to recommend an alternative consultant on the NHS might be tricky unless you intend to pay, then they'll be happy to refer you elsewhere! However, the pain clinic might be a way in - use them well!
Good luck and stay strong! Colin

I think our messages crossed 'in the post'!
It's a difficult one, you have the drug you feel you need - Tegretol - but you're worried about the time between doses. I guess you'll have to trust the new GP and see how things go! I know what you mean by being 'terrified', we just wait for the thing to kick off, don't we! When I get an attack, I just freeze, scared of moving a muscle and if I'm lucky, it will subside. Keep in touch.

what medication are you on? you have to take a break from reading all this and get your meds sorted out mate, trust me it will do you no good, but im here if you need to ask anything.
