Was just wondering if any1 else has experienced numbness with the anxiety? The left side of my cheek and mouth have just started going numb every so often, also I get a blotchy rash along my cheeks. The red blotches also are on my hands/wrists, chest and top of back when it comes on. Anyone else experienced this?

Anxiety comes in many different forms. I'm learning as I'm going through. My first experience was in April my face completely twisted it looked like a complete stroke. I'm 33 years old and healthy thus far besides diabetes. My test and CT scans and other things came back normal. 3 months ago I started having attacks everyday. Went to bed and woke up not myself. My face tingles, twitches, goes numb but after I control my thoughts, read ,write etc. In also meditate it goes away

Just wanted to reply, maybe this may help other people as well. I do get the numbness in left side of arm and face and tightness in arm it scared me very bad. Thaught of stroke and heart attack as well. And caused panic. Took a xanax to calm down and i did. Went to the doctor they gave me ATRAX wich is a histimine blocker and sedative. It made very tired with extreme anxiety. But i imagine it would help for thrash breakouts wich i do not get. And yes the more you think about it when you get the numbness makes it worse. I hope this helps as all the comments helped me. Support is very key to help ease this problem. It sucks bad i no ive had it for a long time it also causes deppression as if you dont have enough to worry about already. Ive had all the test done as well everything came back good.

Hey! I have also experienced numbness/tingling in the left side of my face. The first time it happened to me I was terrified that I was having a stroke. I kept poking my face and smiling to make sure that I could still use the left side of my mouth. However! I was just diagnosed with panic attacks and anxiety and all of my doctor tests have come back just fine. It's really scary to experience, but just remember that it is anxiety and it will pass! <3>

Hello Ali, did they ask what drugs you may have been taken? When I take codine and singular, I have panic attacks

Hi yes before they do anything they asked for drugs and medication if you are taking any. Codine is for pain and it relax you and singular is used for asthma of I'm not mistake.

Panic attack is not dangerous that's what I learnt now after 3 weeks they are just wrong signals from brain to our body and when you are having panick attack just go with the flow and face if and repeat in your mind so what this is panic attack and I will face it and it will pass.

Trust me you will go through this feeling.

Try watch some helping videos on YouTube they will help you.

I am seeing this over a yr after, but I have been having horrible anxiety and Googled if anxiety can make face numb ect. Are you still having these issues? Very scary. I hope i am not rehashing any anxiety by asking. I hope you are fine now. I see I am not alone and that numbness in the face is common. Very scary to me.

I thought I was the only one that was going through this. I have all of these symptoms below.. Can anybody tell me if they have all or some of these ?

    *neck tension

    *nausea

    *headaches

*numbness/tightness of left side of jaw which comes & goes

    *Aching muscles

*tiredness(sleeping doesn't even help, I still wake up tired)

    *loss of appetite

    *pulsating heart

Just lastnight I think I was having a panic attack. I could feel my top half pulsating while I was lying in bed & I couldn't stop panicing. I had to get up out of bed & walk around while doing breathing techniques. I thought I was having a heart attack which made my anxiety worse.

These are just the things that are happening to me lately. I'd love to talk to someone who is going through the same thing as I think it will make my anxiety better.

Hi bubr, hope you and everyone are doing better. Yes, Ihave quite a bit of those. Just an hour ago drivng home from market, L Jaw hurt a bit. Then when I got home still, and my L bicep a little, not much but off an on. Then breathing and middle of shoulder blades, and L neck, and then took .25 Xanex and felt  middle of sternum wiggle or speed up. Scares me so much. Both hands tingled a bit too. Almost drove to er. All this came and usually comes out of knowhere. I had echo stress test in Jan/ norm, and CT Angio with and w/o contrast in March and was told that would not be causing the pain. I have lost weight, feel out of breath alot (had lung funciton checked, told ok), EKG's, etc. All told good. Which is great, but WTH? I feel like crap and am so scared. My therapist is nice but stinks. After 7 months I am worse. Coming here though makes see others get the same and I hope we can help one another to get better and back to the way we want to be.

    Kind regards

I just experienced this last night. It shot up my left arm to the left side of my face. Then it restricted my breathing. It was a scary experience. But in the end just a panic attack.
