Numbness, tingling, and weekness on the whole left side of my body... I thought maybe I got shocked but I'm not really sure. I'm 50 years old and my period has been on and off for the past year. For the past 5 days now I can't walk or use my left side for anything...I went to the er and did all kinds of Tests and found nothing and that there is nothing they can do for me. I don't know what to do. My doctor thought I was having a stroke but the hospital said I was too young and the tested confirmed that it's not a stroke so now what? I'm really scared that I will be like this forever!!! I hope that this is just my horomones. Has anybody had this happened to them before ???

Did they say anything about Bell's Palsy? Is your face affected too?

Sounds very much like Bells Palsy. It's temporary. I'm really surprised they didn't mention it in the ER. When people develop it they first think they've had a stroke. Do some research on it. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi paulai, I also have tingling and numbness , I get it mostly on the back of my head across my back and one side of my face and ear, I get the tingling on my calves , and my legs at the top front feel weak and rubbery, now I'm getting numbness on my forearm and thumb...and sometimes I get the fingers and toes don't want to move properly a stiff like feeling like they lock up on me.. I've been getting this for well over a year now and when it first started I'm not going to lie it scared me to death I was in such a state in my life where all these symptoms were causing my health anxiety and depression with gloom and doom really bad.. I felt like I was dying and I was waiting for the day that's how bad my anxiety was .. I couldn't leave my house (agoraphobia) from the anxiety and I have the white coat syndrome with doctors and couldnt go there either, I had been to see them so many times with my symptoms and they just kept telling me anxiety anxiety anxiety.. Besides blood tests showed rheumatoid arthritis, and hashimotos both autoimmune, that's when I got paranoid that well I probably have ms because of all the numbness and tingling... So here I am over a year later and my symptoms I call them my neurological symptoms still visit me every month always on the same day of the month, so I still have hope that because they come every month at the same time that it has something to do with my estrogen and progesterone going up and down.. I even think that my ra and hashimotos has to do with my Peri menopause I think its all connected some how.. I don't feel as bad as I was with the anxiety had me so scared, but still do have it somewhat but am hoping one day I can get the courage up to go get tested for ms,, also when my anxiety does hit me I will get the odd numbness from the anxiety across my head and back, and as I breathe and settle myself it goes.. So just wanted to let you know along with my other many many symptoms I do get this awful scary numbness as well. I also get very bad migraines once a month at the same time in my left temple like clockwork too. How long have you been in menopause and do your symptoms of meno come and go every month?? Hope you feel better soon, it is a very scary time for us..?
