...but the first few days will fly by and after a couple of weeks it'll just be a distant memory!!!   Look forward to the time you can walk round the shops for an hour and not feel a thing...thats what I've just done!

..and you've got hospital food to look forward to!! so you didnt use the she wee then?? Have they said when you can go home?

      Hi Angie

You'll come on much better at home in your own surroundings....I had a little room and a TV as well but it doesnt make up for your own place.

Do you have stairs at home? Even those aren't hard.....The first time I was told that the good leg {un-operated} goes up to heaven and the bad one {operated} one goes down to hell....so thats how your remember which one goes first.

My 2nd one I was toldremember George Bernard Shaw???? That means Good, Bad and then Stick.......I told her about the Heaven and Hell one...she said Oh we had to stop saying that...we offended some peopleeek

Good luck with being at home.......is your tiredness due to the meds you are on? They put me on tramadol the first time and I didnt know whether I was coming or going???The consultant took me off it at my 6 week check up.

      Hi Angie

That sounds like a spinal block you had.....thats what I had.

The firs THR they had a bit of trouble finding where to put the needle because I have a "rubbish back"biggrin

Anyway.....when I came to....well sort of....I was on a trolly and a porter beside me.  I said to him my knees are bent. You know the 90 degree angle thing.....I knew they shouldnt bewink  He said they aren't ...I said yes they are.....I was on my back and thought my knees weer bent and my feet flat on the trolly...right?? Then he said....have you just had a spinal block? I said yes....Ahhh well you would be sitting on the theatre table with your legs hanging down while they gave it to you.......thats the way your brain last remembers your legs.......can you visualise what he meant  LOL   Aint the brain a wonderful thing?? I was so sure they were bent,.,

      Love
