After suffering chronic olp from two years I have finally seen a brilliant surgeon at guys London turned out I had extremely high thrush count too so I'm on Nystatin and flixonase which I mix together with 10ml water and swish for 3 minutes for three months to keep both problems at bay and my mouth is pain free at last all ulcers and soreness has gone hallelujah !!

I am very happy for you. I have the same problem. Will you tell me how many times a day you use that mixer?
I see that you live in London. Do you think does medicines are available in USA? I am going to see my doctor this coming Monday hopefully he can proscribe those so I can use & get some relief from this horrible pain.

I use it once a day or twice if it's feeling tender good luck you should get it there too XXX I just want everyone to heal xxx

I went back to my oral surgeon after using the steroid gel for a couple of months and he too gave my some anti -yeast treatment. I stopped the steroid and used the new medication and my mouth has healed too. The markings are there but all the erosiveness and redness has gone! Thank you so much for sharing your post! Here's hoping it lasts x

Brilliant news for you I stupidly had some cow's milk three days ago coz I'd run out of soya milk and got sore white spots on tongue n cheeks the next day ! Won't do that again !! Xx

Yea! We are getting a handle on treating this.
My mouth has been pain free for 1 month now. I see a Dermatologist to manage, even though my primary insisted an oral surgeon should treat it. I used the oral surgeon for the biopsy only, since I have medical insurance but not Dental.
Combination of steroid & anti yeast is working well. Cutting back on swishing from 3 to 2 times a day on steroid. Last 2 flares happened after dental work so will increase swishing before & after dental work.

Great news sandy I think the secret is to use both meds so that both olp and thrush are kept at bay one condition aggravates the other. Mine too flared up after dental work !! I'm also swishing with sea salt water during the day to help xx

Yes I agree. I've had to go back to using the steroid gel as the OLP did start to flare again. Hoping a combination of medication will keep it at bay. Still so much better than it was xx
