One more question.... Itching labia 7 weeks post op?

Posted , 6 users are following.

Seven weeks out from a ssf and have off and on itching labia and around the entrance of my vagina. First this was mostly a burning feeling, now more often an itchy feeling. Also around the bladder area so these episodes still make me urinate more frequently. Is this normal to be feeling?

I am sorry about asking so many questions, but this is all making me really insecure.

So I went to the hospital yesterday and my gyn checked everything. She gold me a bladder can take up to three months to settle down and is a vert sensitieve organ. I am am probabiliteit tensing my pelvic muscles too much unconsciously which causes the burning and the bladder irritation. But just to be sure she is going to test for a thrush/yeast infection. It seems like I just need to be patient and work on muscle relaxation with a pelvic Floor therapist. And next week I will get the test result.

I was told my urgency to wee was due to over tensing my pelvic floor when I went to a women’s health special. She taught me to relax them which felt quite frightening at first. I think I had been trying to keep everything from escaping again. Ha. It has defined helped and I no longer have that feeling of needing to go as frequent. It didn’t take long.

Ren a woman's physio is the best option for you.they know there stuff hun.xx

It involved relaxing and deep breathing. Initially lying down. I am too frightened to do it standing. A bit like yoga belly breathing. I would see a specialist though to make sure you are doing the right thing and not bearing down at all.

      Hi ange

How are you feeling today with that feeling😕😕😕

Do you see anything near entrance at all? Also what does it feel like when you walk.xx

I am already seeing one and not allowed to do any kegels, only relaxation exercises which you mention. The only problem is that when I have such an episode of over clenching it is very difficult to get over it.

Still not happy. I am only 10 weeks so may be more changes as inner stitches come away. Have started on vagifem 2 weeks ago so yet to see if that makes a difference. Takes a few month I believe. I am frightened I now have a urethrocele. There is very little info online and treatment is unclear as I have no incontinence issues. I see my physio on wed so will ask her and all this. I seem to of turned into a worrier. How are you?

I use vagifem ange have done for 18 months.. it does take a while but didnt change my prolapse at all just plump up the dry tissues.

Yes ive heard of utethracele but surely when they lift the bladder and urethra back.into position tgat should be sorted. What have you read about.. what can be done for urethracele then.

I read that a woman that has given birth has a lower urethra than a wpmen who havent given birth. You got me worrying now..

I cant wait for monday now.

ANYONE ON HERE HAVE ANY INFO ON OUR CONCERN PLEASE DROP US A MESSSGE PLEASE.

im feeling ok if i use my yes lub but i shouldnt have to use it to remove the feeling. When do you see yours hunxx

Signed off by consultant. But she did say to contact her if I needed. Seeing physio on wed and go to review vagifem in June. I’ll see what they both say beforehand contacting consultant. Anterior repair is usually not right down to entrance. She told me that area I am concerned about is so full of nerves etc that they done want to mess with it.

Yes i was told that if the anterior was repaired to end we would ne incontinent as it messes with the mechanics of workings of urethra.

So do we just live with it and do pelvic floor .. omg i wish i was a man lol.. may be not😂😂😂😂😂i will cry if i dont laugh it off hun..my.mind is mush with the word vagina.x

I think so. At the moment it’s all new, different and still changing. I guess in a year we will be as healed as we are going to be and any strange changing sensations will be settled. We also won’t be so sensitive to that part of our bodies as they become normal for us. Just does your head in a bit adjusting. I think I need to stop checking and checking and think of something else. 🙄

Yes believe me I have learnt from that mistake.I have only looked once in 4 months.. Last time I nearly lost the plot paranoid everyday looking for change. Once I accepted it had failed I stopped looking. This time I have not looked, too scared 😨😨 too.. I think I have become alienated from my vagina and that's bad .xx
