Hello fellow hippies

It is now just five months since my RTHR and I think I'm back to normal. So hands up all you hippies who think, as I do, that, as a reward for my extraordinary courage and being a model patient,  my wife should now allow me to purchase that lovely little classic sports coupé that I've seen for sale (quite cheaply) on the Internet.

    SO good to hear how well you are doing .... Is your wife named Hazel (Derek's wife)? Good Lord, darling, what she went through with you to get you the surgery is heroic - At some point I thought we were going to lose you .... cry

    Anyway, knowing her she is a sensible, responsible and loving soul and would like to keep you for a little bit longer - Little red sports car from the Internet ????

    I don't think so ...

      Hi Renee, yes I am Derek's wife and have been for 35 years. biggrinYou know the saying the only difference from men and boys are the price of their toys, well it is correct in my husband's case. Driving has always been a passion for him; the six weeks that he wasn't allow to drive was like a death sentence to him. I prefer a bit of comfort and so would he if he is honest. I hope you are progressing well Renee, thanks for the hugs and all the support I received when Derek (Peter Pan) was so poorly.

    Tell her there are plenty of models to choose from and they start at £3.00! 

    pee ess - you only live once! When this is all over we are going travelling. It has made me realise how precious my health is.

      I don't know if we could buy a model of the Rochdale Olympic, that is the car I would like, as there were only 150 ever built.

      Years ago I made a few models including a Mercedes 540K 1 eighth scale.But it isn't the same is it? I hope things are going well for you and enjoy your travels

      Hi Susie, the car is a quite slow, relatively cheap, Rochdale Olympic an AC Cobra would cost 10 times as much. On sale in Bordeau.

    Hi Derek, Glad to hear your doing so well,

    Maybe you will get a Corgi version lol lol , and maybe if you share with Mrs Derek you will get the bigger one ....    smile

      I don't think it would be the same, I really want one I can drive.

      One thing I forgot to mention is that the car is in Bordeaux and we don't even have an uptodate passport.
