Ouch! Pain, pain going away, don't come back another day :(

I went to see a Rheumotologist today, he was kind, gentle, but his advice was ridiculous to say the least. He said I need to do aerobics every day starting at 15 minutes a day. I don't know about any of you on this site but for me that would send me to the emergency room for sure! I don't get it. If I could do aerobics don't  think I wouldn't but 7 days a week? Get real, I'm not going to be able to keep that up not to mention the pain I will be in. I went to see him to ask about Tai Chia and I get this advice? Does anyone have a similar experience? Has Aerobic exercise worked for you?

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I think I will look into water aerobics. It is offered at a local community center close to home.

Tiswas, I know what you are talking about. The low impact is too much for me too. I also felt like I was going to die when I did it a few years ago that's why this doc saying to do high impact, starting at 15 minutes each day was so bizarre to me. I'm glad I went to this forum, got a lot of information, thanks again everyone! I think I need all of you to feel sane again lol

thats funny hun something has just flagged up in my brain fog brain

when i go on my electric treadmill at speed i find it less hard work  and less painful still bloody knackering but i dont hurt so much as when i try and do it on a slow speed.the same as if i do a brisk walk i find i feel better but a slow walk or a climb kills .

this blooming condition drives me mad nothing about it makes sense

I know it does sound ridiculous to exercise when in pain, but yes I find when I exercise my symptoms do improve. I recommend starting with as much as you can maybe just 5 mins a day and build it up. I really hate exercise to be honest but I do find it helps.
