ovarian cyst,adhesions and endometriosis

Hi,Im a 39 yr old mum of 3 and i have had terrible abdominal pain since 2004,all the different GP'S i have seen have said i had IBS.Any tablets they gave me were useless. Then in feb i went back once again but this time was offered swabs and a ultrasound.GP was very rude and did not

want to refer me as she was sure i was waisting time and money. My ultrasound showed a 10cm cyst on my right ovary, the radiographer insisted that i didn't go back to the same gp again.I then saw my gyno and she said that my symptoms were also signs of adhesions and ednomitriosis, that i'd have to have a endoscopy in 3wks to see whats going on.She doesn't seem keen on doing anything about the adhesions but if im in pain i think they should.

Can you give me any advice please.I also want my ovaries removed their all i have left after a hysterectomy in 2001. THANKS.

Sorry to hear about your Auntie but at least shes not in pain any more and in a better place. Your builders sound about as bright as the Housing Executive builders over here my daughter has been waiting on renovations for 8 years now keep saying there broke and run out of money here thats what council housing is called over here. One girl she was talking to turned her cooker on and the immersion heater came on instead and worked the other way round for the cooker they must all employ bodge the builder .com, the cheapest they can find. Its enough to give anyone nightmares that carry on, on the other hand to give you a laugh i received a letter from the hospital saying i have an appointment for a upper gastroscopy and colonoscopy that was asked for 9 months ago by Consultant took it straight down to my GP as i had the first done in 2009 came back clear and the colonoscopy done less than 6 months ago and came back clear all i want is a review appointment to see if they will carry out a Laparoscopy he went nuts said he was beginning to get suicidal due to their stupidity and obvious lack of communication between their Dept, when he tried phoning there was no one to take the call gone home for the weekend, would hate to be his secretary when he finally gets through as he was fuming told me not to bother phoning as he is going to deal with it about time someone gave them a kick up the a**. He says he knows its scar tissue seems to know more than them mind you he was a surgeon and packed it in wonder why, but its getting them to do something about it, told him i know the risks but if i get 10 good years i will be happy enough. Take care and hope you get your house back soon. Good to hear from you, how is everyone one is your OH still on the ferries?.

I oh my god that letter must have given you a laugh, what idiots.MY consultant is dating a bloke that works on the ferries and my OH has heard all about the weekends away now i dont want to be treated by him it makes my skin crawl groups of them go away together and he didnt know id had a hysterectomy totally clueless.Im also glad to be chatting with you again,im on nurse duties my son and daughter are really poorly colds coughing and they look terrible so doctors in the morning my son has terrible pains in his lower back so i want him checked over.Well i think i have a leak somwhere in the bathroom and its comin down into the ceiling in the loo so i will be back on the phone complaining once again,oh they are a bunch of idiots the plummer is called Boris and the boss in Dan,he thought he could charm me by asking me out for a drink i told him does he not know what the shine gold thing on my left hand means and how well rehearsed that line was, bloody men my OH will kill him.HEs still on the ferries but is injured at the moment he trapped his finger in a door and its black as anything,he wont take time off thought bless him.I wish he would to sort out these workmen they are a league of their own.

Perhaps he has a kidney infection or something your son hope they feel better soon. As for my GP as he said hes giving up the will to live hope he can get in touch with them today and sort something out as i said after 6/7 years of this i am beginning to think if i was either an alcoholic or a junkie would get more help and if i threw myself off a bridge would i get seen quicker told him it was a joke not into self inflicted pain in enough as it is he was disgusted when i told him i had been in A+E for 5 hours then sent home by a junior doctor with no help and told not to have the operation asked if i knew who he was said no they don't wear name tags anymore wonder why. Go and get Arnica cream for your OH finger its brilliant on bruises its homeopathic and is fantastic you can get it at any chemist. I would have told that guy where to shove his drink perhaps he thought it was consolation for all the c**k ups they have made more like the booby prize at the fair, and i would also make a complaint about there work to the council maintenance dept as well, over here if they ruin or break anything they have to pay you compensation to replace it find out if you can do that to cover the price of your carpet and redecoration costs i would.

Hello the boss came to see me today and the compensation for my carpet is coming out of their wages at the end of the month he said they have never been so embarssed he was in such a temper and apparently that blokes know for trying to pick up the ladies well he met his match with me he was speakless and the contractors are on their last warning or their contract will be canceled,i didnt realise i was so powerful my OH calls me his 5ft fire rocket.I agree with you i use arnica gel i buy it from qvc its brilliant.Saw my doc today and hes runnign blood tests on me AGAIN i asked what they will show and he just said weel to see whats going on that means just to cover himself looks like im going to change my pain relief the tramadol have stopped working i think i got used to them. You are spot on there if you or i where junkies we'd be sorted out no problem i see them in Boots knocking on a little hatch every time waiting for their fix it makes my blood boil. And i have to persuade some locum that my pills have stopped working its discusting.

Hi glad your getting your carpet replaced after all it was their responsibility they ruined it, Arnica is good. Asked my GP to lower my pain relief as it was making the constipation worse last thing i need phoned hospital today as due a review last month told it would be this month last month now told i won't get it until May at earliest as so far behind getting really down now with the pain every day have to see him on the 31st will see what he has to say. It feels as though we are fighting a losing battle at times and the non deserving cases are getting everything handed to them on a plate wish they could get it right, my mate spent 6 months in the mental hospital for drinking and debt and it was all of her own making all her debts were cleared and she had a 6 month holiday with no worries on full pay, are we going wrong somewhere?. Hope they sort your pain relief out soon how are your children?.

Sorry haven't been on in a while spent last 18 days in hospital what a b****y nightmare that was still no diagnosis when the pain got to bad my blood pressure shot up, changed my laxative didn't leave the loo for 4 hours so changed it back again, now on codiene and paracetamol separately as they seem to work better kept on about tramadol told the idiots can't take it god knows how many times makes me itch. Some of the nurses were real b*****s made me feel like a fraud and a time waster but the consultant is a lot more agreeable now, more blood tests some were really weird and had to be sent to England of all places as they can not test for them here so he says he will be in touch with my GP when they come back, will only do surgery as a very last resort doesn't help me much. 1 old lady of 90 got out of her bed last night in front of all the visitors not a nurse in sight all drinking tea in the office supposed to be getting the report, she fell flat on her back bumping her head and 1 of the visitors had to go and fetch them out of the office shoved her back into bed and didn't even fetch a doctor to check her over then sent her home today and lost half her tablets her son went nuts said it was worse than Easyjet. When i came home and checked my tablets they had given me half the tablets that belonged to the woman in the next bed to me who was discharged 2 days ago so i am taking them down to my own GP and lodging a complaint that is just pure negligence on the nurses part, i just can't believe what goes on in those places anymore its getting positively Victorian. Hope your feeling better and not as sore how is it going with the nurse?. Family are fine but OH really cheesed off with all the carry on with me as i seem to be getting no where fast so he had a word with consultant today and explained what it was like when i was in pain so hopefully it may have an impact of some sort.

Oh Leony you poor thing i bet you half wish you'd never gone in i hope your not to bad now you have had one hell of a time,im sending you a big hug.It was just the same when i was sent in like a cattle yard i should have stayed over night really but no beds what a surprise but i go back on friday it has swollen again under my armpit, its not hot so dont think its infected.Who'd be a bloody woman? And im have one hell of a time right now my marriage is very rocky,he just sits next to me and reads the paper and ignores me hes 36 not 75 for god sake, ive tried to get him to talk but he clams up even more it looks like he doesnt like me going away for two days but i havent had a night out in 10yrs i never go anywhere,i think with all im going through i at least deserve it i do everything for him and the kids - men can be hard work even after 17yrs together.

Anyway enough of me and my problems im glad your family are ok lets hope these test tell you whats going on,you just want answers just like me.Tramadol are making me itch aswell i better got and tell them.

No wish i hadn't know better next time asking GP for all my notes and to refer me to a different hospital if this keeps up i really have come to the end of my rope now, seriously thinking of putting in a complaint about some of the nurses. Some of the horror stories i heard while i was in there were awful gives you no confidence at all, 1 girl went in for a complete hystorectomy (sp) ended up with an infection put on 3 different antibiotics none worked had to be taken back into surgery told it would be at half 5 that night finally turned up at half 10 asked for pain relief at 9 and finally got it at 10 15 when her OH went and caused a stink this was the same guy who had to go and drag them out of the office to come and pick the old lady off the floor. Took the drugs to my own GP and explained did not look amused at all think he will be complaining to the hospital trust. Sorry about your OH i have been married for 36 years they go like that they say they have a mid life called the andropause might be that my father used to ignore my mum for weeks when she went away anywhere so she did the same back and when he did eventually speak she used to say talking now are we well i am not talking to you it does get better. Yes you do deserve time to yourself after all you have been through this year and if he doesn't like it he can lump it may make him realize exactly how much you do for him and the children. Write him a letter before you go and tell him how you feel and leave it somewhere so he can read it while your away might make him understand how you truly feel, big hugs and have a good time while your away.

Hi thank you for the advice it has helped me alot,im not going until the end of may and i cant wait.I will leave him a letter but knowing him he will sulk about that for the next 10 years you know what there like.i dont have time to sulk.Im in aggony today bloody bowels of hell are not moving so ive had 3 movicols today see if that helps and im sweating one minute and shivering the next, dam body of mine we are at war.I have lost all confidence in hospitals none cares anymore a woman here has had her adhesions done and they where worse than mine but shes not ended up with a bag so why cant they do it for me? Id be quite happy to get rid if my bowel i can tell you,at least then id go to the loo.Thats the only thng im worried about when i go away the lack of tiolets and my poor friend will have a shock at how little i eat,she wants to go for meals and ive explained i cant eat alot but we will see.My gp is in his hols so i will have to put up with the tramadol itch for a while.

Know what you mean there was a man in the same time i was with the same problem we have won't do anything for him either he was really p****d off as well the excuse is if they do it they can come back 10 times worse than before, who cares at least we will get some relief for the foreseeable if they do it now, not as though i have had loads of ops 2 in 56 years is nothing, women in there who had between 9 and 10 on average think we were asking for the moon and 1 of those was elective a sterilization 31 years ago for god sake nothing since. With all the time and money they have wasted doing stupid tests they could have done it by now and saved a fortune in inpatient costs keeping me in there. All they offered to do this time was shove a tube up my nose and feed me that way told them no way,my GP phoned today and said they had made a complete horlicks of my urine test to old and diluted so i have to go and repeat it tomorrow at the surgery oh joy think he's really hacked off now. Same as you today can't go at all when i was in there last week changed my laxative to dulcolax didn't leave the loo for 4 hours had to change it back again as it was to harsh although he said it was meant to be a mild one. Hope you have a brill time when you go away just do what i do ask for a child's portion and if he sulks at least you won't have to listen to his moaning while your away he will come round in the end.

Hi,everythings ok with my breast it just gets abit hot underneath and i saw my gp cause im goin to the loo 4 times a day and the pain is unbearable(dont be jealous) he thinks ive got a mild dose of food poisioning but i dont know from where and cant remember what i ate,so test on my poo to be sent away on monday and hes changed the tramadol to Zapain never heard of them and i hope they work.God these people should give you a lapo even to just give you piece of mind.Could you insist for one to at least give you answers. The doc i saw today told mme they wont even attempt to remove my adhesions bacause more will only come back instead of them so i told him id would give it a try its better than taking pills for the rest of my life. What state my insides are lie i dread to think, my stomch will have corroded away.
