ovarian cyst,adhesions and endometriosis

Hi,Im a 39 yr old mum of 3 and i have had terrible abdominal pain since 2004,all the different GP'S i have seen have said i had IBS.Any tablets they gave me were useless. Then in feb i went back once again but this time was offered swabs and a ultrasound.GP was very rude and did not

want to refer me as she was sure i was waisting time and money. My ultrasound showed a 10cm cyst on my right ovary, the radiographer insisted that i didn't go back to the same gp again.I then saw my gyno and she said that my symptoms were also signs of adhesions and ednomitriosis, that i'd have to have a endoscopy in 3wks to see whats going on.She doesn't seem keen on doing anything about the adhesions but if im in pain i think they should.

Can you give me any advice please.I also want my ovaries removed their all i have left after a hysterectomy in 2001. THANKS.

smile Thanks you've cheered me up no end.I got up to go to the loo in the night and i could feel fluid moving inside(right side) it was weird.I'm now sure i have another cyst it can't be small if i can feel it rippling.I get what you mean about going to the loo i had terrible pains this morning so i used seppositrie nothing so i used another nothing so i tried a third and only passed abit.Where is it all going?I said to my husband im an endless pit of drugs and poo he laughed and said he always thought i was full of s..t lol.You have to keep your sense of humour. My children are good fair play and they will help on bad days not that there are many good ones.I had the last laugh on my feirnd she went to Blackpool with her family but when they got there it was a gay and lesbian hotel she had no idea.I laughed so much i was holding my stomach.

Bet that was a shock for her they say what goes around comes around that will teach her not to criticise so quickly next time, bet she regretted going in the end and probably didn't enjoy it at all after all that at least it gave you a bloody good laugh, thats karma for you. Same as you haven't been at all today Fennel Tea sometimes works for me give it a go it is an acquired taste but can't be any worse than movicol. Not being gross but when i finally do go it's been there so long it's a green colour \"Ugh\".

Yeah she had one hell of a shock so thats me pulling her leg for a long time.I'll give fennel tea a try i'll try anything.Good god green poo! i had blue poo once but that was from candy floss i've only known babies to have green could be the medication.Well the bloody nhs has struck again my auntie's in hospital now and where her belly button was is a large scar from op's bowel removed, hysterectomy etc, well shes had i large lump for a while and gp said it was a hernia,it's not it's a tumour and it has spread to her kidney now.Makes you scared doesn't it.

We went crimbo shopping yesterday my hubby had to help me up the stairs in one shop i just couldn't do it had to go home i was washed out.Why can't i go up hill, stairs etc don't get it.

So sorry about your Auntie but really nothing suprises me any more with the medical profession i am seriously beginning to give up on them, my sister in law was misdiagnosed and sent home rushed back in and died the same day turned out scar tissue was holding her liver together and it burst by the time they found out it was to late supposed to have a test before she was discharged but didn't get it her family are now sueing hope they win to much of this going on. If they did the job properly in the first place these things wouldn't happen. Same as you can't walk any great distance can't do stairs thank god I live in a bungalow, hope your Auntie feels better soon and is sorted out properly. My brother is in remission with the big C so i pray your Auntie will be once her kidney is sorted, not religious but we can all hope for better. Haven't even thought about crimbo yet not up to it at the mo and still no date for colonoscopy but no surprise there.

OMG thats all you need the side effects listed for that among others are nausea and constipation I take paracetemol and didihycodiene or they are called Paramol at the chemist but they still constipate you, hows your Auntie and have the family got over there colds yet? In terrible pain today they don't seem to be working either that or the fact that i can't go is adding to the pain. I'm up for it if you are seems we might get a solution to it that way couldn't make a worse job could we. Ha Ha.

Morning to you as well please phone your GP asap as black vomit is not normal and explain to him/her but it could mean a blockage in your bowel sorry not trying not to worry you but better safe than sorry and let me know how it goes. sorry about your Auntie but hopefully they will start Chemo soon and she may feel a little better. Still no movement with me either so took Lacido last night not worked yet but i live in hope, also feels like that in my hip and feels as though some one has started a fire in their also non stop peeing told my OH i am going to cut out the middle man and just throw all fluids down the loo seem to spend half my day peeing. Take care and phone your GP please.

Hi thanks for the advice my surgery is closed from midday today so i will ring them first thing in the morning.I've googled it and it sound as though it's naproxen it can cause bleeding in the stomach. why did he give me them when im on lansoprsol for gastic reflux. What an idiot.I'm drousy but not in any pain, this is all i need.

Because quacks can't be bothered reading the side effects half the time i sometimes think they gained their degree from the mickey mouse university. Don't take them again until you have checked with the surgery, mine closes at times for half day training i think it involves how to be snotty and unhelpful to patients even though we pay their wages. I am going to my GP next Friday still no word on colonoscopy if they do not find anything when they do that test am going to tell Consultant not prepared to live like this anymore they will have to see if it's adhesions and the only way to see them is by Lapro if they refuse i will be complaining to the Health Authority over here.

I don't blame you,no i'm not touching them again.one good thing i've been to the the loo at least thats not black. It's because of adhesions they won't touch my left side to riskey they said thats a medical term for don't have a bloody clue or can't be asked.

Only had 2 surgeries in my life last 1 thirty years ago broke pelvis 17 years ago and didn't pin it left to set on it's own think thats where all the probs are coming from keep saying IBS no way. Found out my 1 leg is shorter than the other and hips are out of line so keeps pushing on right side where they found the lesions thats whats causing the pain and constipation. So they can pull there b****y fingers out and do something if they had pinned it wouldn't be suffering now.

You tell them, have you been suffering like this for all these years then? Sadly i have had 3 ceserians,1 hysterectomy,2 laporoscopies, tonsels out,my cyst and a partrige in a pair tree ha ha.What you've described to me is much more painful than what i'm going thrugh i'm sure.

No only last 5 to 6 years used to work as a special needs classroom assistant with teenager in a wheelchair in mainstream school playing basketball with him 1 day crashed down on to right hip and slid the length of the gym so embarrased just got up and walked away seemed to start after that. Had to retire 18 months ago now would love to go back as i loved my job. I am 55 so probably old enough to be your Mum they have blamed it on IBS, stress, depression and even told it was in my head told them if i wasn't depressed before all this started i would be suicidal by now the way they treat patients.

Im 40 so your not old enough to be my mum. They said the same to me about what it could be even told me i was a hypercondreact. When i saw the size of that cyst on the scan back in may i couldn't believe it i wasn't going mad and i was right i had started to believe them i'm a fool and far to trusting.Anyone that has to live with the pain we have day in day out would be depressed i know i am but try not to dewll on it but some days its to much and i bet your the same.I keep saying to my hubby why can't i have a c..p like normal people. It can't be that hard everyone does it(excuse the pun).
