ovarian cyst,adhesions and endometriosis

Hi,Im a 39 yr old mum of 3 and i have had terrible abdominal pain since 2004,all the different GP'S i have seen have said i had IBS.Any tablets they gave me were useless. Then in feb i went back once again but this time was offered swabs and a ultrasound.GP was very rude and did not

want to refer me as she was sure i was waisting time and money. My ultrasound showed a 10cm cyst on my right ovary, the radiographer insisted that i didn't go back to the same gp again.I then saw my gyno and she said that my symptoms were also signs of adhesions and ednomitriosis, that i'd have to have a endoscopy in 3wks to see whats going on.She doesn't seem keen on doing anything about the adhesions but if im in pain i think they should.

Can you give me any advice please.I also want my ovaries removed their all i have left after a hysterectomy in 2001. THANKS.

OMG thats bloody ridiculous and your meant to stay in pain until then think if it got to bad would just take myself to A and E and refuse to move until they did do something, my consultant did say to ny OH if it got to painful to take me back up can't see the point though they never do anything. Hot bath and massage for you OH then failing that you can always share painkillers hope he's ok/

Spoke to the girl at the Patient and Client council and she said she was talking to the colonoscopy dept the other day and it's an average of 26 weeks but they are so backlogged (excuse the pun) they are thinking about doing weekend and evening appointments, hope don't think to long like, at the weekend the whole of the investigation dept is shut bloody stupid idea don't want to pay overtime. Hows your OH today any better did you give him a massage and share painkillers Ha Ha ?.

So sorry your having a tough time of it you all sound as if your all suffering how big and heavy was the box hope there all better soon you must be worn out, I have been really productive got all my Crimbo prezzies sorted and bought for the grandkids and my Mum got a 2 night deal for the price of 1 on Buy a Gift for a luxury hotel for 2 people so she is taking my Bro who is recovering from C in the New Year really chuffed with it. So organised this year not normally, hopefully will get an appointment just before Christmas if not will be back on phone to the girl at the Patient and Client council said she would sort it if i hadn't heard in 4 weeks as that is 26 weeks then.

The box wasn't heavy at all it was the stretching that did it, i keep teasing him and saying if that belly wasn't in the way he wouldn't have to stretch so much.Good woman getting organised i've got 3 more to get then thats it.What a good deal you got there you could do with a break yourself i'm sure.Your dead right i'm shattered and the shakes are uncontrolable but i 've got to carry on i will get a hot bath and an early night. My aunties up and walking around so she seems to have improved.

Pleased your Auntie's up and about and feeling a little better, could do with a break but will wait until i know what's going on back to GP tomorrow have questions i want answered, what are lesions, what if anything will they do about them and how long will i have to wait for them to do it as not prepared to live like this for ever. My OH is the same but his excuse is his diabetes means he can't lose weight Type2 such a liar if he didn't sneak the wrong foods he would. Hope Hubby is up and about soon and you take care bet you could do with a break as well.

Good morning how are you all feeling today any better, went back to GP asked the questions he said lesions are abnormalities found in tissue old scars, scabs, polyps or cysts can't be any more help until i get the test and then he will tell me more doesn't know what they will do until he gets results. Told him about phoning the Patient and Client council told him about the backlog and they might be doing weekends and evenings said don't even go there if they employed more staff which they have the money for wouldn't be waiting as long he was not amused to say the least. And to top the lot have now develop excema on my bloody face can't stop scratching, oh well if i didn't laugh i would probably commit suicide.

Sorry about your Auntie as long as she's not in pain, my bro said he would never do Chemo again made him so ill worse than the C he had Non-Hodgkins-lymphona what Jack Duckworth was supposed to have on Corry if you watch now in remission but they still keep an eye on him can't fault the treatment he got on the NHS, mind you different hospital.
