      Hi Gentleballads

i do yoga for anxiety, been trying abit of mindfullness too, but the best thing that has worked for me is the batch flower remedy for anxiety and panic, it's completely naturally and doesn't interfer with anything, it's the only thing that's really worked for me xx

Thanks Fudgeybear and sue for suggestions. I was exploring on you tube and i was hoping for something more concrete

theres a breathing of 5 counts inhales thru nose , keep for 7 counts, exhale  for 8 counts thru mouth. Its become automatic and i start involuntarily every time the heart starts racing....i wanted to strengthen this regime

Thank you for this.. I know I have anxiety but sometimes the most horrible thoughts flood my brain. Lately I've been feeling pulsating in my back, sometimes my stomach & I keep thinking that something much worse is happening, & my anxiety just kicks in. Coming across this info calmed me down. Thank you.

Yes it is good to know that we're not losing it and that there is a reason for what we're feeling. It does calm me when I'm able to reason out why I'm feeling what I'm feeling. And you're very welcome, dear.

      Xx

Wow thanks for this list. I'm a male and for the past year I cant seem to get the last of my breath. Hard to explain comes and goes some days it's not as bad . I am learning to breath through stomach I have been breathing through my chest for years and I was told that is wrong. I also feel achy all over at times tension in my body upper back and mid back hurts when I take deep stress breath through my chest which is wrong I need to get used to breathing through my stomach I made my back all sore body sore achy feeling feel like I have the flu tightness in my throat at times, dizziness lightheadedness. Anyways I been to ER twice and they ran the 100 yards tests on me and said I'm fine I had a mild astelitus I most likely spelled that wrong but sometimes that happens to people after surgery they just get a mild streaky atelectasis in the lungs and it goes away. I went back to Dr they did full xray and said it's gone but I still suffer from breathing issue. So I'm assuming it's all anxiety apparently my mom has had it my sister has it hard to breathe same kind of feelings. What are some medicine or fixes to get rid of anxiety. Especially meds that dont have crazy sideffects I don't want them but I need to take control over this .

Well, it's a year since you wrote all those terrible symptoms and I do hope it has been resolved.  I have many of them too, thought I was going mad, was put on mirtazipine which calmed down for a little while.  However, my problem was/is thyroid which nobody bothered to check until months and months later during a private consult with an endocrinologist and he ordered antibodies tests which I had never heard of.  The thyroid has a lot to answer for, dont be put off by being told oh you are depressed and anxious.  Seek further advice if you havent already done so.

Yes I do need to see an Endocrinologist. A lot of my symptoms have calmed down. For me, a lot of my anxiety was due to a blood pressure medication I was taking and that was the side effect. So I still get symptoms here and there but not as bad. I actually returned to the working world after a five year pause. I was a stay at home mom all the while but now my kids are in school. So I was home going mad over these symptoms analyzing every one of them. But going back to work helps me be someone else for a few hours a day and believe it or not it actually does help. That's not to say I don't feel bad from time to time but if I keep busy the symptom is gone before I am even aware in most cases.

Hope you're doing better now that you've been to the endocrinologist . I think when women go through these changes this is exactly who we should be seeing right off the bat. The GP and GYN don't have a clue how to help us but ENDO's deal specifically with Hormonology. This is their area.
