Overactive thyroid graves Part 3

Hope we are all keeping well.

Still feeling ok within myself but been getting a little tingle on the end of my tongue the odd time. Has anyone experienced this? I read somewhere it can be a sign of going hypo ?

I am pleased that most people seem to be doing ok. I am pretty good these days,working full time now which does seem quite tough but I'm hoping things will get easier. I'm still over weight and have decided that in 2012 I am going to try every diet going and hit the gym until I get back to my normal size if it kills me!

Kat, oh to have a daughter and one that can cook, your house sounds very civilised, my hubby is doing the festive meal because he cannot face my best if not pathetic efforts! I flap if im cooking for more than just us and it's usually a disaster.

Marigold, Bess, Barry and Sue hope you have a great Christmas and most of all enjoy yourselves.

Maria, how brave of you to just resign, it did sound like your work were trying to take you for granted.

My son has chosen jumper for the spaniel to wear on Christmas day much to my husbands disgust. In reality she will only have it on whilst we laugh at his reaction to it she's too much of a tearaway to be a handbag dog.

Talking if handbags I really hope Santa brings me a nice one!

Apparently I've got some sort of yeast infection (thrush) doc said its very common with graves disease,ive got to take oral suspension nysatyn.Said I've got a coating on my tongue but to be honest my tongues been like that since I found out I had graves.

Hi Barry. I've just been reading up on tongue tingling when you're going hypo.

There's no end to the symptoms. I've had a tingle on the end of my nose all day. Don't know what that is. :lol: It wouldn't hurt to get your bloods checked, although if you're feeling ok that's the main thing. Are your eyes ok? Mine are sore, especially the right one which protrudes a little bit more than the left one. I'm using the artificial tears more, and it's helping. Sorry you're got thrush, if it's not one thing it's another. Take care.

Hi Jane. I'm pleased you're feeling pretty good and coping with work. I hope you manage to lose some weight, I'd like to put some on. We're never satisfied are we? Your spaniel will look a picture in her jumper. I hope Santa brings me a handbag too!

Hi everyone,barry i have had thrush all through being hyper and even now i have got it,also tingling on the tip of my tongue,my doc gave me nystan and now i have Blephatis in my eyes whichhe has given me antibiotic eye drops aswell as viscotclear drops for dry eyes ,Just like you Marigold :o lol(im a copy cat lol) :lol: I also have had it down below althrough too ..I am feeling so much better now my thyroxine has been reduced must have been over dosed lol.

jane its a shame you couldnt post a picture of your spaniel wearing her coat on here would love to see her ,

Marigold enjoy your xmas at your sons ,will you be there for the present opening to see her little face ?I have had one present off my son <its all wrapped up but i can tell its a HANDBAG and purse :o LOL and today my grandaugther paid for my hair do including roots and a bit of blonde put in the front ,its really brightend my yukky face lol ,She is a top stylist but wont do mine as she said she cant get on with my hair lol charming

Hi Sue. I always knew you were a copycat. :lol: The artificial tears help me a lot. I've asked for more on my repeat prescription as I use such a lot of them, I'll need a truck to get everything home. :lol: I'm pleased you're feeling a lot better.

We're just going to our son's for Christmas day so our gdaughter will have opened some of her presents when we get there, but we'll be taking a lot so we'll see her open them. Her little face will be a picture. I hope you have a lovely Christmas too. At least it's not supposed to snow, I worry that we won't get there if the weather is bad. I hope I get a handbag and purse, I've dropped plenty of hints. You'll look good with your new hair. I had mine cut yesterday, and I'm really pleased with it.

Marigold my eyes have been ok touch wood its just the tongue I think I've had this thrush thing for a long time.

Hello everyone, its good to catch up with your posts. I have been running around like a headless chicken, getting quite grumpy at times ! Almost done now thank goodness. I'm going to my daughters for Christmas, really looking forward to it. I had a blood test a few days ago, my first since coming off the carbs so fingers crossed. I haven' t rung in for the result because if there's anything wrong, I can't do anything about it now so I might as well ignore it till after Christmas. I feel ok but have had some migraine aura, I don't think its due to the thyroid, I think its due to eating chocolate in the middle of the night !

I have been thinking what a large family we are, thinking of all of us and all our concerns, and sadnesses as well as the happiness of this time of the year. Thankyou all so much for b eing there for me this last year, it means so much. I hope you all have a good Christmas and ditto, well behaved thyroids in 2012 !

Hi all, just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I have been feeling very good up till yesterday when i started to get blurred vision and today I have a terrible headache and a upset tummy, i'm wondering if it's the stress of work, I can't wait for Jan 26th my last day. Our girls, their other halves and the grandchildren are comimg to us on Tursday, I'm so glad it is not tomorrow. Hi Maria. I've just seen your post. I hope you're feeling better now. I had an awful night too. I couldn't sleep and I was all hot and fidgety. I get like that when I have something on my mind, Christmas on this occasion, Also if we have visitors I lie in bed and go over and over the conversation we've had. It's silly, and I wish I could switch my mind off. Anyway we've had a lovely day, our little gdaughter's face was a picture when she saw all her presents. I hope you've had a good Christmas too. Hello Maria and Marigold, not sure what's happening to us, I was also awake last night, until 3 am ! Maria, stress can cause blurred vision and tummy upsets, do you think this could be the reason you aren't feeling so good ? I do hope things settle down soon and your thyroid is behaving itself.

Hello everyone ,has everyone had a nice xmas ..My daughter that i went to on christmas eve had this virus that is going about so i ended up preparing everything on xmas eve then cooking dinner ,washing and wiping up.It was lovelly to see the little one open his presents and their cocker spaniel opening hers :lol: then she wanted to help him open his ..I got a fossil handbag and purse off my son which shocked me :shock: its lovely ,then i got a luxury manicure voucher off another daughter My eldest gave me vouchers to get my hair done twice and my two youngest ,one bought me a dab radio and the other one some good make up and anti wrinkle cream lol.si i did well ..I came home on Boxing day to find my central heating had broken down :cry: luckily i have insurance with bristish gas and they came out pretty quick but couldnt mend it as it needed a part ,and couldnt come back untill the wednesday to fit it ,on that morning i had an app for a mammagram at the hospital for 10 30 , i was hoping and praying for him to hurry up , :lol: but when he came in and said it needed yet another part i could have cryed . He came back today and it took 3 hours to do it ,now since hes gone my thermastat isnt working ,I have been bl@@dy frozen ,my bedroon was like a butchersfridge :roll:

Hi Sue. Sounds like you've had a good time. Are you feeling ok? You've got some lovely presents.

A fossil handbag - you lucky girl. 8) I got a Jasper Conran handbag, so we've done well haven't we? I got a dab radio a while ago and it's on nearly all day. I'd rather listen to the radio as watch tv. Makeup and the vouchers were good presents too. You'd be pleased with those. I took lots of photos of our little granddaughter opening her presents, her little face was a picture. She was too young last year to understand Christmas. Is your daughter feeling better now? What a time to catch a virus.

We have insurance with British Gas too. It was good that they came out soon, but not much good if they didn't have the part. I hope you get your thermostat mended soon.

Are you doing anything for New Year? I don't like New Year, never have done.

We'll just go to bed and pretend it's not happening. :lol:
