Fealt like I wanted run away from myself it was horrible.
I took a propanolol and then it calmed down.
I had been feeling abit off the last few days and have been feeling very foggy when I wake up in the
Morning with the odd headache.
Gunna go docs this week and get my bloods
Done again with t3 and t4.
I did have a few beers for the first time in 2 years today and I wonder if that affected me,I read alcohol accelerates the graves.

Just a quick check in from me, last few days my stomach has been not quite right, heartburn & indigestion also kicking in usually at 2am, oh joy! Also thigh muscles a bit achey. I can only describe it as feeling Gravesy if you know what I mean?
Even though I have had RAI do I still have Graves? I thought yes but Hubby thinks at my last Endo appt she said no not anymore!
Barry sorry to hear about the panic attack, they are the worse thing ever, it could have been the beer or maybe you need a thyroxine boost? Let us what the the bloods come back at. Actually I had two nights out last week and drank a lot more than usual and now like I said before feel really Gravesy - link I wonder?
Sue glad you are feeling a bit like yourself again.
Everyone ok?

Hi Bess, I hope you had a good mother's day with your family. We saw our family yesterday and we've been looking after our gdaughter today while her mam went for a scan. It was fun, but I'm shattered now. lol.
Hi Barry. Sorry you're not feeling too good. Panic attacks are horrible. I know what you mean when you say you want to run away from yourself.Let us know what your blood results are.
Hi Kat. Yes, you still have Graves, it's an auto immune disease and you'll always have it.
Your thyroid problems are under control (or not as the case may be), but the Graves doesn't go away. I have heartburn and indigestion too, it settled down, but it's back again.
I feel a bit Gravesy too, and I haven't been on the booze. lol. Two weeks to my blood test, then I'll know what's what.
Thinking of everyone.
Take care.

Heres my latest update, copy n paste jobby from my earlier t
hread...
hello all,
long time and time to update. in november my endo dropped my carb dose to 5mg daily. had a few blood tests since and re visited endo again today.
results in and thyroid is back to square one, if not worse. Endo wants to remove thyroid and has put me on 20mg carbs ed with a blood test again in 6 weeks. when my levels stabalise he hopes to remove it within a month, but must be stable.....
no talk of RAI...he seems to be very keen to remove.
so thats all i know for now, all i can hope is it stabalises in time for my next endo visit. They can then get this bloody thing removed.....
the eyes havent got any worse (fingers crossed) but i now have to re visit the eye man untill its removed.
the joys of hyperthyroidism.
hope everyone had a brill xmas and new years..

I have a really good specialist I phoned up today and they've moved my appointment forward to this Thursday from next month.
I told them about my gp still not doing my bloods properly they were not happy about this and said they will get in touch with the surgery.
Take care all

Evan, I wondered where you'd got to ! Sorry your thyroid has gone to pot again. If its any help,, my granddaughter had to have her thyroid removed in a hurry because she reacted to thyroid meds and her liver was affected and her pulse couldn't be controlled. Since surgery she has made a good recovery and is now feeling fantastic, a real relief after being so ill. She is so happy she had the op, it was the only way for her. If you have this done, I'm sure you will recover quickly and get this sorted at last. Take care, I suppose you have been feeling pretty awful, hope you better soon.
Kat and Marigold, hope you aren't too Gravesy today !
Jackie, how awful to be expected to wait so long for an appointment, I dont blame you for being mad and don't worry - the urge to throw things is part of the condition !
Sue. still doing ok?
Deb, Elaine, where are you ?
Take care gang.
Bess. Ps. still have puffy eyes, due a blood test, must make an appointment, keep putting it off.
Ps. Thankyou so much admin for sorting the posting thing out, its much better !

Hi Baz. I hope you're feeling better. It's good you've got your appointment brought forward to this week. I hope the hospital get your GP sorted out regarding the blood tests.
Fingers crossed everything is ok. Take care.
Hi Evan. Pleased you've found us. I'm sorry you're not well, and I hope you can get the operation done quickly then you should begin to feel better. Let us know how things go.
Hi Bess. I'm sorry your eyes are still puffy. I'm fine today thanks, just tired. I'm getting too old for running around after a two year old. lol Our gdaughter is a little treasure, and I love her to bits, but she tires me out. I hope you get your blood test booked.
Is everyone else ok?

Back from hospital this morning had a good check over and bloods taken.
Specialist said my thyroid was more prominent than normal but fealt ok.
He did tell me that even though I've had rai the graves can still make you go over active.
I was quite surprised at this as I thought once we went under that was it.
This disease is proving a bigger obstacle than I thought.
Not feeling as good these days.
Hopefully my blood results come back soon.

baz sorry your not feeling to well lets hope you get sorted ,isnt it funny how different endos have different opinions ,the last time i went to see mine he said none of the symptoms i was suffering had nothing to do with my thyroid but when my bloods came back they showed my tsh too low and if they come back low again after six weeks my gp has to lower my thyroxine again i wish they would believe us instead of a text book .
marigold when do you have your bloods done ,hun ,i was only thinking what a good job you are feeling okay for the new arrival ,I am still feeling good a bit hyper some times lol been doing a lot of cleaning and my hips are not hurting as much ,my mother in law at nearly 89 is relying more and more on me to take her out ,i just hope that when her daughter comes from California for her hols she doesnt blame me for her mum stock piling lol ,i have to keep reminding her what she has bought the previous weeks ,I think she will see a difference in her this year she soon tires and has trouble walking far ,..... Bess hope you are okay hun did you enjoy having your family over for mothers day ,bet you were knackerd after they were gone lol
hope everyone else is okay
love sue take care

I took part in a survey, which means you either take carbimazol and levothyroxine all the way through the 6 months, or are treated according to your blood results which are taken every 6 wks or so,
I am in the second group and am currently going cold turkey, and suffering, my first bloods came back that I was slightly hypo, so the descision was to hold all treatment and wait and see what the second lot comes back at.
My next appointment is the end of April, I hurt all over, am freezing cold most of the time, whilst having all the other wonderful symptoms from this friendly disease: ) I am having to stop going to the gym as my muscles are giving out, and the recovery from working out is taking too long, I have much sympathy for you and hope it sorts itself out quickly

Hi Baz. I hope your bloods come back ok. As Sue says it's funny how endos all have different opinions on Graves and which treatment to give us. They should all have to go on a course and get co-ordinated. lol. Let us know your blood results when you get them.
Take care.
Hi Sue. Glad you're feeling better. I get my bloods done the week after next. I dread going to the surgery as it's such a performance to get the nurse to fill the form in properly. She's been there for years, you'd think she'd have mastered it by now.
I wish the new baby was here, I'm sick of waiting now, but not as sick as our daughter in law. lol. My mother in law is in a home, and not very well at all at the moment. She's stopped eating and is very confused. My mum used to stock pile too, she bought the same every week whether she needed it or not. I'm sure you won't get the blame.
Isn't this weather lovely. Good drying weather, I'm washing everything in sight. Take care.xxx
Thinking of everyone.
