Hi Jackie. Are your eyes any better? I find that artificial tears help a lot. I was referred to the thyroid eye clinic at a local hospital by my endo. Are your eyes watery? That might be making your vision blurred. If your eyes are dry they will water to compensate.
Maria. I hope you're enjoying your holiday, and you're feeling better.
Barry. It does sound like you only need 25 mcg. of Thyroxine. I always think that it's surprising that such a small tablet can make such a difference. It'll be interesting to see what your t4 is.
Hasn't it been a lovely day? Spring has sprung. lol.
Thinking of everyone.; Take care.

Kat, hope you have more energy now, its horrible when everything feels like such an effort.
Jane, thinking of you and hubby, how are things going ?
Sue, pleeeeease, get in touch, we are all here for you. Thnking of you and sending hugs.
Dammit, I cant remember the other posts now, hope you are all ok !! I have a new computer and hav en't fixed up the printer yet, otherwise I could print off the posts and reply properly.
Marigold, I had to up the Propanolol to 40 mgs. twice daily because the migraine aura and anxiety became difficult to deal with. Things seem to have quietened down and I have reduced it to 20 mgs twice daily with the hope of stopping it altogether. Trouble is, when I stop I am aware of my heart thudding away, not palpitations, just beating hard sometimes, This makes me anxious and off I go again - what a twit I am ! Am due for a blood test in a couple of weeks so see how things are going, I'm not too bad really but my eyes are rather puffy, especially in the mornings, Anyone else got this ? I had it very badly when first diagnosed, I looked as if I had been in a fight !
Take care all, hope you doing ok - hang on in there.
Bess xxx Ps. Deb, Elaine, Dave and all, where are you -= are you ok ? x

It's a vicious circle with the Propranolol isn't it? I was still taking it when I was supposed to have stopped, and got into bother. lol. The doctor wouldn't give me any more prescriptions so I had to stop. I've got on fine without it (just as well really). lol My heart seems to thump away in bed, but I think it's probably because it's more noticeable then.
I've booked a blood test for three weeks time, six months since the last one so it'll be interesting to find out the results.
It might help your puffy eyes if you try an extra pillow. If your head is raised a bit more the fluid will be able to drain more easily. I haven't had puffy eyes, but had bad fluid retention in my legs when I was hyper. Take care.
Hoping everyone else is ok. Sue we're worried about you. Please let us know you're ok.

Sue, so good to hear from you. I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better and the black cloud is lifting. It seems to me that bloods can be slightly out of range or even within range and yet we still have these symptoms. Trouble is, the doctors don't seem to know this and don't always listen. I too have this throat thing, it comes out as an irritable cough, especially when I try to talk on the phone, I have to keep clearing my throat. My daughter calls it my thyroid cough! Good luck with the dusting etc. - don't do too much ! Have a lovely meal, I think you are back on the up thank goodness. lots of love xx
Marigold, thanks for the advice about the extra pillow, I'm sure that will help. It will be interesting to see how your blood results are after such a long time. Its good that you are feeling ok, do you think you could get yourself round to Sue's and mine with your dusters and give us a hand? lol. xx
How's everyone today ? Thinking of you and hoping you all ok.

Don't do too much housework and wear yourself out, remember it'll still be there tomorrow.
Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow. lol I hope you enjoy your meal. xxxxxx
Hi Bess. I'll pop round to your house and Sue's with my duster. I had to get my feather duster out the other day, there was a big cobweb on the kitchen ceiling. The sun shows up all the dust doesn't it?
I didn't sleep well last night. I had one of those hot, fidgety nights. I get them occasionally, and I don't know what sets them off. Take care.
Hope everyone else is ok.

I am still getting cramps and night sweats and the odd palpatations but not as bad as before ,i have also got that tickle in my throat that i had when i was hyper so i think my thyroid must still be working ,i hope they dont offer me rai again as i would refuse it ,i am sure they can do it with tablets ,

I'm pleased you had a lovely night with your children. It would do you good. What kind of fish did you have?I've had some smoked haddock today.
You sound so much better. You must feel as though you're back in the land of the living. lol
I sneezed and sneezed when I was doing your dusting. lol. The new baby is due at the end of April, not long now. Our daughter-in-law is going for a scan on Monday as they think the baby is growing too fast, or she has too much fluid. I think the baby might come early. We'll be looking after our little gdaughter. We'll be worn out. lol.
Happy mother's day.
love to everyone.

Happy mother's day tomorrow.
I know you're all very knowledgeable, so can you help me with something? My 1st visit to Endo doc was Feb 6th, then was given 20gms Carbimazole, as you know. I started getting really itchy, so another doc asked me to see him last Weds. I had a blood test done, but doc kept me waiting for over an hour & a half without explanation, & I left (cause I was getting agitated & thought it's not worth it)...I used to be SO calm and easygoing until these pills! He phoned & I said I wouldn't go back to him, and would wait for my appointment booked in April....I've now just received a letter saying they are so sorry to inconvenience me but my appointment is postponed until October!!! Where do I stand? I'm mad, & feel like throwing the tablets all over their waiting room!

You need to get the results of the blood test that was done. If I were you I'd make an appointment with my GP, ask him to get the results then at least you'll know where you stand with regard to your thyroid levels. Then I'd tell him you're not prepared to wait until October, it's six months for goodness sake, and ask him to arrange an earlier appointment.
Good luck. Happy mother's day.
