Maybe u are overdoing it just a bit. But I was very like u too so soon & I learned when I needed to slow down. Listen to ur body & do what ur able for. No more & no less. I'm 8 weeks now off crutches, pain free, driving, household chores, cooking etc & having other hip done 29th January. I think u should have a quiet day tomorrow & rest & take it easy x

Thank you. My knees, new and original( lol) are giving me gyp!! Muscles and hamstrings so tight, don't know why. Grrrrr

      Gaby,

They are telling you that you are doing too much I expect.

Don't forget that up to now you have not been using any of your leg muscles properly, so they all need some care and 'running in' like a new car engine.

I know how annoying it is, just went out for a shorter walk - just over a half mile - feel better now with fresh air in my lungs.

      All the best to you

Haha thanks Amanda. If I go much slower I'll be non existent in my world lol!

My Hubble is driving me mental! He has NEVER had to deal with Domestic duties and has no idea !!( bless him) He has health issues himself and is Defo NOT COPING with me on a go slow! He's in shock as normally when I've had big ops I've not been like I am this time! My new knee etc, I've been pushing it, doing all I normally do but not this time!!

From tomorrow I'm intending( we'll see) to get up & dressed and do a little, rest, dos little, rest etc

As opposed to either flat out all day or do myself in!!

Hydro Tuesday & I'm not letting them push me like last week I couldn't move till Friday lol.

      Gaby,

Ohyes, us blokes just are not used to the majority of domestic duties .... I don't mind a little cooking, and I can load the dishwasher, but not all that cleaning, washing, ironing stuff

Reminds me of the guy who was asked by his daughter how many sugars he took in his tea, and his reply was "I don't know, ask your mother" lol.

Sounds like a good man your Peter Pan - no wonder you over-do it looking after him and his medical problems.

But do take care of yourself as well.
