I'm 10 months post op TKR and having pain in the middle of the night for the last few months. Early on, about 4 months after I was nearly pain free. I don't understand why. No pain and then PAIN........?

Aaaarrrgggg...escape while you can!!! With 4 1/2 pounds of metal in me, I can't imagine the Jersey cold in the winter and the brutal humidity in the summer. I escaped to Fort Worth when the temperature is always great, humidity low, cost of living real cheap, jobs are plentiful and they start planting flowers on February 1st. Great move!!!

Would consider the pain consistant ache with occaision sharp jab. The knee. With the responses I'm getinig here, I starting to think pain at this point in time is REALLY odd. Anyone out there still having pain at 10 months out?

This definitely sounds knee-related and not something like sciatica. At 10 months, I was basically pain-free so this is odd...especially the "sharp jab" kind. Listen to Lyn and check with your doc. A quick x-ray might reveal something.

Hi Janice. I'm 13 months out & I went through the same thing. I think it just takes time to "settle" in. Right around the 11 or 12 month mark, everything felt much better & I often forget it all happened! I honestly thought that day would never come!
