Pain in anus, feeling incomplete evacuation

Hey everyone I'm new here and in need of some advice/opinions.

About two weeks ago i had a constipated bowel movement. That night started the pain in the anus/rectal area. Sometimes it feels like something is stuck in me or like there's stool in me that needs to come out. I haven't had any bleeding with bowel movements. My lower stomach also feels really bloated and has a feeling of being backed up or hurt.

My stool has been pretty thin lately too and almost has defined edges on it. My gi seems to think i was just constipated and experiencing ibs symptoms. I feel like i still have to go to the bathroom even after going a few times and producing stool.

The anal pain, feeling of incomplete evacuation, and thin stools has me so worried about colon cancer.

Has anyone experienced this?

    update:

colonoscopy is may 29th i will absolutely update again with the findings

stomach pain and bloat is down a lot. only thing i did differently was force myself to eat more and take advice from responses in here that it sounds like ibs.

the pain/weird feeling is still lingering around my anus/rectum (cant really tell) though.

Im really at a loss as to what it is. My first bowel movement of the day has gotten thicker and more healthy looking and ive still yet to see any blood

My GI reminded me a few months ago i had a nevative result on a stool test for occult blood and inflammatory diseases

so thats about it. just trying to stay calm until the scope in about 10 days

    comments always welcomed

hey sarah, i did and im gonna try and get around to forming a new post with the whole experience

i got a colonoscopy and they found some small internal plies (the pressure feeling i had) and some slight diverticulosis on my descending colon

stress and anxiety made that feel like potential colon cancer to me

yes, i have DEFINITELY experienced this very unpleasant problem now for many years. it started suddenly when I was 15. i can almost remember the exact bowel movement when it 1st occurred. i was trying to poop like I normally did(before this, I could s$!t like a mule. im talking complete satisfaction and feeling brand new afterwards. oh, how I miss it), and then I realized, much to my dismay, that I felt this extremely uncomfortable feeling that I couldn't get it all to come out. I compare the feeling, when attempting to describe it to people, to pinching off your urine halfway through and not being able to get the rest out no matter what you do. after that, I started developing bad bloating, a pain under my right ribcage, and just a general feeling of being very uncomfortable and feeling unwell. people drastically underestimate the importance of a good bowel movement and of having them with regularity. after that, I kept having the same problem of incomplete emptying. my parents got me to a gi specialist and eventually I had to have a colonoscopy and a barium enema done. all the doctor could determine was that I had some inflammation and a really tight turn in my ascending colon right under my right lower ribcage. oh, I forgot to mention that the pain under my ribs got so incredibly terrible a few times that I had to go to the emergency room, one time in particular resulting in the absolute worst pain I had ever, and still have ever, been in in my entire life. it was just total agony and I was helpless due to how much pain I was in. I thought I knew pain until that night...nope!! well, as per usual, the gi recommended more fiber and damn laxatives for me because he didn't really know what was wrong. I was only like 16 at that point and I got very depressed by that. it just impacts every single aspect of your life and most people don't get that! laxatives are just such a poor treatment for this. if they just made you poop one good time and you felt all better, then that would be really good. that's not how they work for me. I get so backed up that I finally have to break down and take them. if they work at all, I'll wake up and go through much pain and work. you remember that scene from Rambo 3 when he had to dig that massive splinter out of his side? that's what I sound like when I poop like I'm describing. after the initial poop, my stomach is all screwed up for the majority of the day and I usually end up running to a bathroom several times to avoid pooping my pants. not convenient when you're trying to do hard work, a lot of times outside, away from any facilities. I'm 40 now and still dealing with this damn condition. i can't even go to a doctor again to see if medicine has advanced enough to maybe help me more because I don't have any insurance atm. I've learned to live with it slightly better now. I found an herb called cascara sagrada that helps some. it's an herbal laxative that is not as harsh on the gut and is quite a bit more predictable, but it still makes me have to run to a bathroom multiple times sometimes and sometimes any laxative just doesn't work at all on me. IvI've also found that a nearly or complete carnivore diet does help a lot if I stick to it really strictly. for me, eating has become something I do to try and feel better, not to find foods just to eat for enjoyment. i dread eating sometimes because I know I need stuff to come out, not put more in. fasting seems to help to. none of these treatments are easy or even completely effective, so it's really easy to get depressed about it. I would be so happy to just have a colon that would get rid of what I need it to, naturally and effectively. i find myself like even jealous of folks who don't even have to think about their damn, stupid colon. they don't know how lucky they are. I joined this forum while sitting on the toilet after another incomplete poop. and it had been like 5 days since I have gone at all. I was right before taking something last night, but I decided that if I didn't go good today, I would take something. looks like that's what I'll probably end up doing. I just needed to vent. probably no one will ever even read this, but I feel slightly better having said all of this, even though there's so much more to it. i wish you the very best with your problem. try cascara sagrada and eating mostly meat with no carbs for a while if nothing else has helped you. good luck!
