Pain in right buttocks following right tka, knee feels wobbly, and pain goes down to right lower l

I find I have instant pain at times going from first standing and starting to walk. If I stretch it out before I start I can usually avoid it but pain on the outer part of my knee is keeping me awake at night. Any suggestions...

Hi Wanda - you don't say how many weeks post op you are for me to answer your question....

I am 5 months post op and still have pain when getting up from chair/bed and starting to walk but it wears off after a while but I still get some pain when walking and also pain on lateral movement with my new joint - especially turning in bed ! Am getting there though but still can't do stairs in the normal way yet but all a work in progress....early days for me really but every week there is more improvement - tiny increments but still progressing in the right direction !

    Hope it helps....
