      mike NY,

I had a right thr in Jan. '17. I have been in pain 24/7 every single minute. I have just begun my 8th mon. post op and I think today has been the worst. I have an appt. on Thurs. and I intend to get answers or ask for my records and go to another surgeon. You have obviously been through a whole lot more than I have, but I understand your pain. Pain meds are a joke. I hope you can find some relief somewhere. Maybe it's time for a second opinion. Nothing should hurt that long. Wishing you the best.

      mike NY,

We have to remember that He is with us. It's hard when the pain won't stop though. God bless you, too. We are never alone.

      Hi Dana,

This road would be impossible without the lord , as he was left broken on the cross , the more we trust in him  and then finally with his grace accept where we are in this life , l pray there is so hope to change the level of pain.... God bless  you , l hope you are feeling better...have a goodnight. Mike

      mike NY,

You have a beautiful, wonderful attitude and thought. Never doubt the power of prayer, and I can tell that you don't. Please keep me and all the others on your progress and how you feel. You're in my thoughts and my prayers. Blessings to you (and everyone). My mother would say to me,"There is no spot, where God is not." Sleep well. Dana

Dana, your words are true to me  l need to trust and accept the things l cannot change , but fight like hell to seek physical healing , l find God works through people , but the pain wants me to isolate,  l pray for acceptance of where this  will leave me . Dana l pray for you as well , you are very  perceptive and kind .  My Italian mom use to say / "You cry cause you  have no shoes , look at the man who has no feet" it makes you feel like we are in this together... some worst then the next  . But being broken with the lord would bring wholeness... a process it is  , but well worth it... Stay in touch . Feel better, Mike

      mike NY,

I liked what you said, it speakes volumes. We have to know that this pain is not a part of the real 'us.' We canget through it---and will. Your mother is so wise. I keep telling myself that "this, too, shall come to pass." Now, I have to walk the talk, as they say. I have an appt. In a couple of hours that is 65 miles away. I'm not looking forward to riding that long but I am going to get some answers this time. I'm too passive. Not any more! They tore my meniscus and now want it to heal on it's own. Ha! I am asking for a CT scan, too. If he jokes and says it takes time, well, my time is up with him. The docs wouldn't put up with this pain, period, so why should we? Keep me posted on how you're feeling. It's so good to have someone to talk with. I really appreciate you and want you to know it helps. I'm putting my positive thinking and optimistic thinking into overdrive, along with prayers for us both, but especially you. Try to have a positive day--I know how hard it can be. Dana

Dana,  everything you said is true ,   Being in pain for such a long time , and especially if you have no one to push you makes it easy to fall through the cracks  ,I think I have to some degree , my back is  workmen's Comp. They payed for two back fusions back in 96 -98 , everything has been a battle with them I think that is about to come to a head now , but  because of the increased pressure we accept our situation as  total failure  and stop seeking help we must never stop ,I had a meniscus tear ,  it was severely painful then they did the knee replacement , 2010, then a  revision 6 months later Dr did something wrong ,  that pain was unbearable then .you haveSomething that needs repairing just remember the best hospital in the world is the hospital for special surgery in New York city they fix everyone's mistakes,,,,  they have to do something for that ,that is painful and it's ripped it's torn I think that was never addressed properly in my case and then did the knee replacement , you definitely  need  the second opinion . Walk knowing the lord loves you and is with you , as l try remember the same, I will say a pray for right now. God bless , let me know what they say, a Long ride for sure, Mike

      Hi mike NY,

I got home a little late and was really sore from riding. Sorry I didn't get back to writing sooner. The doc was very cooperative and ordered an MRI of my back and x-ray. He also ordered a CT scan of my hip. He said he'd get together with the other doc ans see if anything looked off. Then, he said they would do some injections and try to get me some relief. So, I have to make another trip back this afternoon. I'm dreading that. I have to go back to the surgeon, the only one I've seen, on Oct.12th for the results. I also was told to stop P.T. I guess I'll have to wait it out until then. At least I geel like I made a little headway. (I understood what you meant). I live way down in SW Missouri, so if one wants a real doctor, most go to K.C. MO or Joplin, MO. Joplin is closer and highly rated. I still don't like the drive! I hope everything is ok as can be with you. We'll just keep working and knowing that He is on our side. I know it will get better for both of us; it's only right. Dana
