Pain on both sides of abdomen below ribs.

My pain started below the right rib around 5 months ago. It’s like a tight burning pain. Around two months ago it spread to the left side as well. No pain in the middle. The pain is always there but it generally is worse on one side than the other. It’s about a 3 or 4 out of 10 pain. I’ve had ultrasound, endoscopy, liver function test, and h pylori test and all came back clear. I can’t find a relation between food and the pain but excercise seems to make it slightly worse. My bowel movements vary between 1 and 3 times a day and are generally soft but not diarrhoea.

Anybody else experienced anything like this or can shed some light on what it is? It’s reakky starting to get me down now.

I’ve been reading about feacal loading, does anybody have any experience of this and would my pains be symptomatic if that?

My mum used get fecal impaction because of her dementia.  Hard stools would come first followed by diarrhoea. Sometimes a huge hard amount would come out too when she had been constipated for a long time.  The only thing that helped was high doses of Movicol and fresh fruit smoothies made in our food mixer.

Constipation can cause nausea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fatigue and dizziness.

I’ve been having this exact issue along with a lot of burping? I have the pain more so on my right but sometimes on the left..... I had ultrasounds, cat scans, X-rays and blood work to check for liver function and all is good! My LFT was slightly high but went back down after having gallbladder surgery **ended up not being the cause of my pain even though I had “sludge” in my gallbladder! I was finally diagnosed with Celiac Disease after about the 5th ER trio and switching doctors the pain has gotten way better since cutting out gluten but this week I’ve noticed it’s back a little but thinking I’ve been “Glutened”

Ur symptoms sound exactly like mine! I’m actually a diagnosed celiac although I’ve never really followed the GF diet, which is silly I know. I’ve been follow it now though for 4 months and it hasn’t made any change to my symptoms unfortunately.
