Pain relief?

Hi everyone I am new on here , I am 32 yrs old and need double hip replacements, really bad arthritis in both hips due to shallow hip sockets , surgeon said i have only about a quarter coverage of the joint 😔 I was ok until around 4 yrs ago when I used to have the odd achey day every now and then , until last year when the pain started to get worse , went to Dr , had x Rays etc sent for physio but they wod touch me so referred to MR White at woodlands , Darlington , booked In 13th may to have right hip replaced .

Just wondering how everyone else copes with pain? I am on buprenorphine patches , paracetamol , narproxen , codiene, amytriptlyne but I can honestly say it really doesn't help 😔 sleeping is becoming impossible and dnt get any ease, hoping that replacement will give me my life back so I can stop the meds!

Will be nice to chat to people that know what the pain is like , my husband , family and friends are very supportive but it's so hard to explain how bad the pain is on a day to day basis , simple things I can't do like putting my own socks on are starting to get me down
