Pain with Fibro

Hello: I'm not new to the forums, however, I am kind of new to the fibromyalgia forum...I'm Carole, and I have sciolious, spinal stenosis, and now, the doctor tells me I also have fibro....last night I had a terrible muscle pain in my neck and it seemed to hurt all over...I am used to spinal pain, but the neck pain and the tenderness in my whole body kept me awake almost all night...It hurt so bad just to turn over in bed. Is it possible to have fibro so badly that it keeps you awake and makes you miserable...I kind of shrugged it off when the doctor told me I have it because I have just about everything else, but this really hurts...thank you for any advice you can give me...BTW, I have Lyrica, but I took them for a few days and I gained five pounds of fluids...now, I can only take one once in a while....thank you!!

Sorry you're not feeling so great right now. If Lyrica isn't working for you, you could try asking your doctor if you can try one of the other medications they prescribe for fibromyalgia. I find that sometimes when my pain is all over a nice hot bath helps to ease it. Heat in general is my go to for pain. I know a lot of people with fibromyalgia also use tens machines to ease their pains. Acupuncture has also been recommended to me if you want to give that a try. I found Reiki good for helping me relax as well.
Hope this helps,

For me, i recently discovered that small cups of hot coconut milk works better than nsaid's, ibuprphen etc. for joint and muscle pain. It must be hot, cold doesn't seem to work for some reason. Wild Oregano Oil (80% carvacrol) taken with water twice a day seems to work well also, It's said to be an anti everything treatment and I am having amazing results with it. If I feel the onset of joint or muscle pain my first option now is the coconut. I haven't taken nsaid's for weeks now, where previously I was taking the maximum amount everyday for weeks at a time.
Hope this helps.

I struggle most nights with sleep and I have forced myself to get up early and stay awake late but still I can't get a good night's sleep.
I am told that keeping as warm as possible helps but I get to hot in bed and that keeps me awake anyway.
It's hard to find what works for you but keeping an eye on this site just might get your answer
I hope you find your solution, best wishes to you
