Had my THR Friday. Had a bad reaction to the medication in hospital. I was vomiting and passing out. Did not het out of bed for two days so that prolonged my recovery. Came out of hospital today and I am struggling with the pain. I feel my left is a lot more painful than my right hip. But it's only day 5 I'm sure it will get better. X

Hi heather I'm 4 weeks 3 days post op , I was in hospital for 6 days as had real problems with pain meds and wasn't able to get out of bed for first 3 😱. You will need to rest a lot but keep doing all your exercises X 👍🏽. It's really important to Take your pain meds regularly, Iv only just come off mine in the day but still take them to sleep at night 😴. So much happened to your body in that operation, it takes a long time to recover, my hip is still swollen and hot to touch 4 weeks on . Keep in touch with us 🙏🏻😘😍
