Painful left breast/side boob menopause

I'm 48 and peri menopausal , periods stopped around 6 months ago . I'm quite lucky that I have not experienced mood swings however , the aches and pains , the irrational thoughts of doom are awful . Just recently , around three weeks now I've experienced tingling, burning and throbbing in my left breast and side of breast . I have requested a scan with my GP anyway to rule out anything nasty but wondered if anybody else has experienced this ?

    I am not sure if this discussion is still active but I am so relieved to see I am not the only one! I have intense burning in just my left boob that has come on pretty intensely in the past 3 or 4 weeks. I had a clear mammo and ultrasound 5  months ago (had the ultrasound as my doc found a small lump under my left armpit) came back clear. Anyway, this burning started a few weeks ago and given the clear mammo so recently, I did the dreaded thing that we all do and did the google search. Found very little that talked about perimenopause and breast pain in just theone breast BUT of course found multiple search results that pointed to Inglammatory Breast Cancer. As many of us going through the change can attest, the impending doom and anxiety are CONSTANT so I have had myself convinced that I have IBC. I actually had an MRI today to determine if anything would show up. Will have Results back in tmro!!!! I have to say, you have NO IDEA what a relief it is to hear that others are dealing with the left boob only thing (and yes, why the heck is it always the left???). What an amazing support system just knowing these are so many of us out there that are experiencing this one boob phenomenon. I am 49 and had my kids fairly late. Have a little one just turned 7....anyway, I also had my mirena IUD removed in April so it’s also like these peri symptoms are hitting like a damn tidal wave. THANK YOU all for just being there.       Hi sarah20594 how did you get on with your MRI results? I am in the same position with intense left Breast / armpit / bicep pain but no lumps or swelling. It's driving me insane. Tiger balm and a hot water bottle seem to help but obviously i can't walk around like that all day 😂😂 I've seen a specialist consultant and she said everything looks fine and nothing stands out but has booked me for US and mammogram for next week. I have found quite a few things on peri menopause where people have similar symptoms  but Like you not a huge amount springs up on google except of course IBC. I'm 46. Thank you for listening xx
