Palpatations + chest pain

Posted , 11 users are following.

5 weeks ago I started getting palpitations then on a Sunday morning I woke up at three o'clock with what I thought was a heart attack after a day in hospital and ecgs and blood tests galore they say I've pulled my muscles around my heart, I've since rested for four weeks now and I'm still getting chest pain ( very sharp in middle of chest) and palpitations in upper chest/ throat and feeling a little short of breath. I do have degenerate spinal disease could it be related or is it anything else hopefully someone has had similar things and found some sort of relief.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

I get chest pains from what has turned out to be a dislocated rib! Once you've done that, it happens easily over and over again unless surgically repaired (no thanks). Years ago I used to get sharp sharp pains  in my chest, near my heart, that took my breath away and immobilized me for a minute or so.  Doctor said it was gas.  So there can be a lot of benign or annoying reasons for chest pain

    Stu,

The PMR part of my pain released almost immediately upon taking prednisone, but I still have pain in the middle-upper back that radiates around to my sternum, which I have been told is borderline severe costocondritis (inflammation of the sternum area) that makes me moan when I sneeze.  I feel like I'm going to break something or worse.

I wish we had these Bowen therapists here in the states.  I'd visit them immediately.  Closest one I can find is about 4 hours from here.

    All the best,

Did you look on the American Bowen Academy website for a Practioner?

Also as you are in the States, do you want to join a group located in the States which runs by emails at present and has plans to set up a website etc.   They all use this site and I am helping them get set up.

If you do PM me with your email address and I will put you in contact with them..  They already have a male and I know he would love some company. rolleyes

They may hide under another name round your way. It's often called Bowtech for one thing - the original name when it was developed in Australia.

Yes, it was originally called Bowenwork in the USA, they recently changed their name to American Bowen etc....................

Hi Stu. I had the pain and the palpitations (and fast pulse rate) after suffering from acid reflux for months. I had been put on Omeprazole. After a gastroscopy, I was found to have an ulcer, gastritis and eosophagitis. My meds were changed to Pantoprazole and hey presto! palpitations disappeared. Just thought  I,d ask if you are taking any meds which may be causing your symptoms? Take care, Debbie.

Hi lodger. I had the pmr first, then the pred which caused the acid reflux, for which I was given the Omeprazole. Interesting though. I didn't know that. I did research the heart problems though and they can result from any ppi's it seems. I sometimes wonder what will become of us all. It's like 'if the pmr don't get ya, the pills will'!

Wonder if this would work for  you, it has for others.

Juice of one lemon, (I put it in microwave to get more juice) divide into three and take three times a day with water.  I took it before meals.
