What Chris says sounds wonderful and is definitely a great long term aim. However, presumably your doctor prescribed medication because you need help whilst you are waiting. It's likely you will have got over the worst of the side effects by now, so you could do as the doctor suggests and increase the dose and see if it helps. When you get psychotherapy and start being adept at controlling your anxiety that way, you could discuss with you doctor reducing the dose.

I have hypothyroidism I'm on Levothyroxine 75mg. Just as I was diagnosed I developed floaters in my eyes and blurred vision. It was never explained to me why I developed these I was just told it's part of getting older?? Its the jelly substance of the eye that breaks off causing these floaters apparently??

But I struggle with the Levothyroxine to be honest. I'm permanently sleepy brain fog, weight gain and palpitations. Apparently my thyroid is OK according to the blood test but I still do not feel right but it's like banging your head on a wall trying to explain to the doctor???

But I hope that helps you a bit?. C
