i cant put this down to anything the only thing i have been taking doxycycline the last week fir a chest infection but tingling would not cause that i wouldnt think.

Yes, one of the side effects of doxycycline is numbness or tingling of the face, hands, feet, face, arms. Some people may experience it and others may not. that is most likely what is going on. ❤.

sorry to trouble you jan again. need more advice.
its so weird it only started a week ago and its progressed a little bit into numbness in fingers every so often.
also my hands sting when i put them in hot or cold water or if i touch something hot. the pain is like when you have ice cold hands a dip them in hot water feeling.
i am worried to contact the doctor as just feel i wont be taken seriously.
i am scared it could be any of the below.
brain tumor on spine or brain
Multiple sclerosis (which does run in family as both my grandad and sister have it)
diabetes
i have no other symptoms yet though other than the tingling and slight numbness in one finger

went to another web site and they said it takes 5 days for doxycycline to leave your system. mayo clinic said you can experience side effects of doxycycline for up to two months after taking it. thats all i am saying. good luck and hope you feel better.

you dont know that. coming off medications sometimes can cause withdrawals.
"doxycycline can cause tingling of the hands face and feet. it takes 16 to 22 hours to vacate your system entirely. "

I do have tingling issue around forehead and head but not due to anxiety or tumor. I have CT my brain and neck but nothing was there and cost $1500. Doctor said you are clear but symptoms like tingling still presenting up to date. I was given pregablin (evil drug) to suppress this but tingling alone will not cause cancer or tumor, just want you to know that.

i know its been 48 hours, but its possible your body is still reacting to the doxycycline. residual effects. especially if it was a high dose of doxycycline and it didnt all flush from your system. when they give times for a medication to leave your system, its usually an estimate. it fits your symptoms to a tee and it makes more sense then a brain tumour. honestly i dont think you have a brain tumour. we always think the worse case scenerio when we cant explain symptoms.

thanks david bit more worried as now getting bit of numbness in fingers on and off. weirdest thing is my hands are so sensitive to hot and cold they actually sting a bit after. the best way i can describe the pain is when you have freezing cold hands and dip them in hot water

i still think you should give the doxycycline more time to leave your system. and you are not on any other medication ? is your blood pressure normal? low blood pressure and lack of blood circulation can cause those symptoms. my gut tells me its the after effects of the doxycycline though. i think you should drink lots of water, it will increase your circulation and flush your system of any residual doxycycline that happens to be there. try it, its water, whats the worse the could happen?

i just researched the hell out of this drug doxycycline with mayo clinic site. you can still experience side effects of the drug for up to two months after you stopped taking it. it referenced diarehea as the symptom that may last up to two months, but other side effects are numb tingly hands and feet. i still think its doxycycline. sorry if you dont agree but its my gut instinct after the research i just did, unless you are taking another medication that you did not mention. you could always call your doctor and get some bloodwork done and find out for sure.

the lack of explanation of your symptoms is causing your anxiety into overload. you need to calm down and focus. try to relax. nothing good can come if you cant think. your doctor should be taking phone conferences or video chats. tell him your symptoms. if you cant get him on the phone. try flushing your system with lots of water and i do mean lots. also eat fruits and vegetables, the anti oxidents will flush out the doxycycline residual faster. remember 5 days to get it completely out of your system, but you can still experience side effects for up to two months afterwards, so flush your system and then repeat. if after 5 days you are still having problems, demand your doctor to call you. thats it, and try to keep your anxiety under control. you are not going to die and lots of people have anxiety when they cant explain whats going on in their own bodies so you are not alone. just try to put your mind elsewhere and flush your system with water. it WILL get better, i promise you.

chances are its not anything new. lets get the blood work done and go from there. stay away from Dr. Google, you will only make your anxiety symptoms worse. its nothing to worry about, and you are going to be just fine. just go with what your doctor says and stop trying to diagnose yourself, you are going to drive yourself nuts.

Hypocalcemia has tingling in the fingers and lips. you dont have it in your lips. stick with what we know and the Doxycycline fits as the culprit. so lets go with that and wait for the results of the blood work. you will know what it is for sure, and it should put your mind at ease. so lets be patient and wait, we dont need any more guessing.
