Penis foreskin cracks during sex, peeling skin, dots and spots [documented]

Hi,

First of all thank you for your time and sorry for the long post,

I'm a healthy 29y old male and in the past 8 months I've been having some problems when having sex. Around February I've noticed some cracks on my foreskin image, at the time i didn't thought much of it, and it eventually healed up, after that, every time i had my foreskin would always crack in the same spots with the same pattern, and it started to appear even more cracks imageimage, when they happen during sex, i can clearly feel them and it stings a little, but after the act, i would clean it with lukewarm water and i would only feel an occasional sting or 2, and, along with the cracks, i also feel the area where the cracks are very very raw and sensitive to the touch, the rest of the penis is fine. In the healing process, after 1 or 2 days, my skin would feel very dry, accompanied by some peeling skin where the cracks where imageimageimage, that area of the skin, eventually they would heal up, but the skin in that area looks a bit darker than the rest image, the dryness i would fight it with some moisturizer.

In all this months I've tried some approaches to tackle this without success, i used a cleaning solution with neutral PH and no fragrances, anti candida fungal ointment, topical steroid cream, fusidic acid and also elidel, already went to 2 different dermatologists, and the problem still persists, with a down side, that now, it seems to be getting worse as some dots started to appear on the glad imageimageimageimageimage and also on the foreskin area imageimage. Along with all of the this, the redder area of the skin sometimes when is dryer it also looks shinier. I'm posting here in hope of some advice of someone who has gone through the same thing. Before all of this, i had a normal sex life with no problems whatsoever.

Best regards, Thank you,

sorry to hear ma man. were in the same boat. i panicked and used hydrocortisone for many months, pushed the problem away, and accidentally thinned my skin. docs got me to use anti fungal, then a prescribed steroid and then another steroid. nothing worked. my thing was so enflamed and red, skin peals just when i touch it. i stopped using everything and the redness has left, the skin peals sometimes and irritates fast if agravated. i stopped masturbating, or im more gentle when doing so. even when it was itch i simply let the pain pass and it healed slowly. i am now going thru the procedures to get circumcized because my irritated skin is right under the foreskin, hopefully by removing it it will get better.

stop all soap, just let normal temperature water run down it and dry with patting, make sure its dry. i aerate for like 2 minutes before it put it back over

Hello i would like to share with you guys my story and how I handled successfully the same situation.

I remember one day I masturbated 3-4 times in a row, and got those vertical cuts but I didn't pay attention to them because I thought that they are friction burn, later the same day I went on and had sex with my girlfriend. (I think here is when things got worse) The scars would heel in 1-2 days, with the same peeling process, however even after they healed a red spot with a different skin texture was present and after masturbation or sex the skin would crack again. So the next thing i did was to buy an intimate shower gel and stop masturbation and sex for 10 days. After they passed the reddish spot with different texture where cracks appeared was still present, however I tried very very light masturbation barely touching and the skin cracked again. Therefore i started different methods - Mupirocin ointment and Clotrimazole for 2 weeks, which unfortunately didn't help. The red patch was still there. It became more red after sexual activity. I then proceeded to take 1 pill fluconazole and treat the spot with coconut oil, but at the same time i started to get worried because almost 2 months already passed and i had no improvement. Then i went on to urologist and i asked him to take samples for every STD possible and most importantly HPV - they all came out negative. Then i went to a dermatologist - which prescribed me the medicine which finally solved the issue. He prescribed me 3 ointments which were layered over each other in a order (this was important, because if i didn't follow the order the skin became irritated from the 2nd cream). 1st cleaned with an intimate gel and warm water, for couple of minutes. Dry it and then i pulled back the foreskin and put Bioderma Cicabio (skin repair and protects from the steroid cream) leave it for 10 minutes to get into the skin (foreskin is still pulled back) and then layered over and put Daktacort (less potent steroid cream + fungal cream) leave it for 10 minutes and then put the 3rd one which was Eucerin Atopi Control and leave it for 10 minutes (protects you from wiping out of the steroid cream and it should have positive effect on irritated skin) and then I would put over my foreskin and underwear - underwear was changed twice per day and washed on 60 degrees. The process was repeated 2 times per day - morning and evening for around 2 weeks. I didn't saw any results until the 5th day but then it all cleared up until the 10th day and the skin became the same as the other part, at first it was a little more white-ish but then it returned to the same colour. During the process i stopped all masturbation / sexual activities and i also stopped drinking alcohol and cutted down the sweets as well. I hope my comment helps someone, but If you think about trying some of the things that helped me - please consult with a medical professionalist beforehand. Good luck!

    hi

pls check your sugar level diabetic patients may have this kind of rashes because of frequent urination ... once sugar level in control automatically rashes wil reduced and penies back to normal..

    Couple things....

    1. I would check and see if they tested you for HSV1 and HSV2, as STD panels often skip HSV1. HSV1 is oral herpes and HSV2 is genital herpes, however, it is possible to get genital HSV of the mouth and oral HSV on the penis.

    2. Try different condom brands and see if that causes the same issue. Atopic dermatitis is unfortunate but I had an issues with silicone lubricant that was similar. Also, I would suggest using a little lube on both sides of the condom, that looks like a friction wound as well.

    3. Circumcision won't fix that problem, there is a reason this is happening and it is treatable. Stop with the steroid creams, penile skin is thin enough without the steroids making it thinner. I would try a light coating of barrier cream like calazime daily for a couple weeks and no sexual activity of any kind, not even masturbation; calazime might make you penis look like it is peeling again but try it for a couple weeks and then don't apply anything for one week. Again, no sexual activity for two weeks of calazime and one week of rest. When washing, use only water, no soap or bodywash. Do not rub your penis when you are cleaning, dry to dab as to promote healing of friable skin and dab dry as well before replacing your foreskin.

    4. Can you take some pics from farther away so I can see all of your penis? I can identify the head but can't tell if this is all over your penis shaft or just part of it. Pics further away, foreskin in place and retracted.

sorry, to many post to read, maybe another solution was posted, but I had exactly same issue [exactly pic 2&3]

    MY SOLUTION

    Clean penis immediately after sex.

Fave method: have partner clean completely, but it's got to be like she's trying to pull your soul out.

Otherwise: shower before your heart rate has normalized, use unscented mild soap, be gentle, pat dry.

In both: air dry, wrap a sheet around it, blow dry it, whatever just KEEP IT DRY

    • you still need to shower even if your partner helps but it buys you time

In cases where it does flare up, neosporin is amazing.

When your going on marathons, take breaks and have her clean it off again, 69, anything to get her fluids off you.

    MY ISSUES

It's easy to say it's her not me, but our sensitive penises can't handle the vaginal acidity and fungal infection/activity.

Test for yourself, for me oral sex is ok, anal sex is ok, vaginal sex with condom is ok.

I've worked in extreme heat environments with no issues.

Tested negative for STDs for over 10 years and still happened.

Has happened with partners where we both get full physicals with no issues, still happens.

After sex after shrinkage her fluids gather in the crevices and if left there will burn through skin.

If wiped off and not cleaned properly it will take longer but still happen.

I struggled to find this out as it happened with some women but not all.

When I finally started showering right after sex it became clear where the problem was, but that's unhealthy for relationships. So before snuggling or passing out I started having partners clean me off completely and thoroughly, it buys time but if left unwashed will lead to minor cuts or rawness feeling. I feel the acidity/fungus is still there so until I shower I keep it as dry as possible. I drink lots of water so I have plenty of bathroom breaks to air out and help dry it off.

I believe the cause is fungal activity mix with the woman's acidity, so the anti-fungal treatments help but won't stop it from happening over long periods of time. Especially if your still having contact with cause. Understand that consistent contact with the issue means you will have to ensure do not let moisture build up. I haven't tried any creams but looks like they would work better after healing.

To help recover I've gone celibate for a month, check every hour to keep it dry, use neosporin at night.

In all I struggled with this for over 10 years. 2 of which were extremely harsh. I've had cases where I just thought it was going to fall off lol, I was so stressed and freaking out. So I can understand some of you on here.

Tested this for myself, if I'd get lazy and not clean immediately after and fall asleep I'd pay for it in the morning.

Gone over 5 years since any minor issues. Also helps if you help balance your woman's ph levels, but understand that a high ph is also really bad for a woman.

    Hope this helps

have you tried using povidone iodine? but let me warn you its gonna sting and uncomfortable but the result for me is pretty good, the cracks is healed, but i suggest you talk with your doctor first because i never seek any formal medications, I'm using "whatever medicine that heal skin injury and fungal infections" method, and sorry for my bad english, and good luck

I had the same exact problem for almost a year going through trial and error, i wont lie i got on to a point of giving and letting this thing devour my whole penis but for some reason i believed there was still hope. I used Epiderm cream twice a day for 30 days and to my surprise i went away as if it was not there at all in the first place. So i would wake up in the morning and bath especially my penis after that before i drys off i would make it hard or erect so that i can apply the cream to all the areas clearly and so i did the same process at night before i go to bed and also after i applied the cream i would stay naked for about 7 minutes so that the cream would sink in before i put on any underwear. I hope this cure might also be yours fellow brethren.

    hi mate,

I've noticed I've started having the same issues recently. Cracked foreskin when having sex and masturbating. Then the dry peeling skin and spots. I'm really starting to avoid sex. I don't for second believe it is an STI/STD. Like you and others that have commented there is no reason to suspect anything like that. But maybe I should consider an appointment at the clap clinic to be sure.

I went to my GP a few years ago and was diagnosed with balanitis. Got given lotions and potions like you previously have. For a while it helped. But now I feel it has returned worse than before and I'm now seriously considering a return to the GP, however covid times are making this process very difficult.

I'm of the opinion that I'm now going to have to go down a circumcision route because the soreness and tenderness that comes from it is unbearable at times and so uncomfortable. I've been warned previously about potential complications and the loss of sensitivity. Its scary, but what other choices do we have cause its surely got to be better than having a sore, cracked, dry scabby dick!

hey whats up bud i was going through the exact same thing as you are.!! its really bothering at times, an i completely understand how you feel.! good news for you its not any kind of disease or anything to that nature.!!! its due to increased blood flow to the head"tip" of the penis causing it to fluff up a tad bit bigger. bare with me.! therefore causing the foreskin to expand an stretch, becoming softer more irritated while having intercourse, causing cracking, irritation, tender feeling, so yeah your gonna 100 % need to get circumsized.!!!!! basically tour penis is to big for its foreskin.!! put it that way.!

Hi J0P1315, I am having the same issues that you were having years ago and am wondering if you ever got a diagnosis for what this was?

    Thanks.

Hello J0P1315 ! First of all this is the only discussion i find on the internet about this issue. Sadly i had the same issue like a little more than 2 months ago. First of all im not qualified in medical area but i managed to heal my problem i hope i can help a little. It started for me after a little rougher sex i had than usual .. my penis got swollen a little (happened before but there were no cracks after). Two days later i had cracks just as yours in the picture. In my opinion its because lack of lubrication skin gets torn and it becomes chronic in time due to how hard its to heal it. I used fugnal creams .. hand creams and all sorth of stuff it healed a little but it always repeat ... cracks got worse it always healed a little started shedding and repeated again. This countinued like a month. Mine was looking worse than yours. How did i healed it ? I covered my penis with vaseline and kept it bandaged for 2 weeks. Imo vaseline works best since it acts like a skin, prevents hygiene problems (lets be honest its hard to keep it clean at all times) and keeps skin always moistened. I think its not more than basic crack problem but its in a very bad area to heal nicely. What to do ?

1)I used vaseline and bandaged my penis skin , changed it regularly. Washed with warm water and soft soaps between.

2)Use vaseline again after showers .. you will see your skin gets real dry after showers.

3)Always use condom (im not ashamed to say it i even used 2 condoms few times to prevent movement on my penis skin and couse to rip open half-healed cracks)

4)never woke up with a dry penis (im a light sleeper and woke up multiple times feeling cracks re-opening on my penile skin with the morning erection ... i think this is one of the most importnig to do)

    5) never scratch it (i know sometimes how badly it scratches due to healing cracks.)

It took me 2 months to heal it .. its not completly healed yet and i wish i took a picture of it but it was the same as yours even worse ... i had cracks .. some red dots .. shedding after healing a bit .. it keep repeating for a while. I decided to use vasalin because even after using hand creams they dont last as long as vaselin. I saw rapid improvement just in 3 days. Also vaselin make me feel comfort the second i applied it. I used total 2 box of baby vaselin.

PS: i know covering your penis in vaselin and keeping it bandaged doesnt sound good but it worked for me. I hope it works for you guys as well. I still have lines on my penile skin and im pretty sure it would repeat if i dont be carefull. I think it tooks really long time to heal. I feel like i will need to be carefull at least 1 more month.

Edit: im a 29 y.o already circumcised guy .. and i read nearly all the repplies but as i understand for most people it starts lighlty gets worse than heals with moisturizers in a very long period of time. Everyone used different things but it worked out for everyone i guess.
