Ok everyone l will try to be as detailed as possible. Im 22. I've been having a weird pain at the tip of my penis that weirdly seems to vary weather on stress level or when I think about it. Flares up after bowel movements ? Defiantly hurts more after urination slightly. I've been to my primary care doctor and was prescribed hydrocodone for pain and that seemed to be the only thing that works. I've been through two waves of antibiotics and peridium (sorry for spelling )all the time. But I was initially diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and acute prostatitis after a CT scan and multiple xrays. After antobiotics didnt work went to urologist had a cystoscopy AND HE SAID I'M CLEAR. He says im to young for prostititis I have another appointment in like 12 days! What do I do now ??? Help I'm desperate. My primary care doctor wont prescribe me pain pills she says my Urologist has to do it but he wont. I haven't asked but I don't wanna seem like an addict. I'm losing hope with this pain some one please let me know

You are NOT too young for prostatitis and you are getting bad advice. Google 'prostatitis tips' to get some basic good advice.

Hi john.. First of all, you are not too young for prostatitis. Im 25 now and 1 month back i got pain in my penis. It was my only symptom. It first started when i pee and ejaculate but then the pain was present all the time. I went to a urologist and he did a Digital rectal exam and when he touched my prostate i felt like hell! It was so painful. He did a urine test but it came back negative for bacteria. I asked him about that and he told me that some bacteria on prostate doesn't show up on urine test. He gave me levoflox and tamsulin for a month. My pain did go away within 3 days after i started medication.. Now after stopping the medication i think it came back. Right now Im having a little pain in penis when i pee. I dnt know if it is acute prostatitis or chronic but the doctor wrote it as bph with tenderness.

Find a prostatic pillow on amazon, works wonders. If you always sit on it you may have a huge diminishment of symptoms

First of all John  I feel sorry for what your going through.  And no you are not to young for prostatitis.  I have a friend that is 33 now   He has been deal with it from the time he was 17.  If your urologist can't or wont help you get another one that will.  Did they tell you how big your prostate was.  Do you have any problem with peeing and when you have a orgasm does it hurt more then feels good.  I have been having some issues over the last few month.  It may be prostatitis or another infection.  Have some of the same problems you do but when I have it my whole penis goes numb.   goes to my doctor on Monday.  You need to get to another doctor.  They need to help you before you have more procedure.  They have to find a antibiotic that will help you.  Tell them you do feel better when you were taking the hydrocodone.  Remember all men will get different types of prostatitis and get different feeling.  Like I said if this urologist will not he;p you get another.  Good luck  Ken  PS  And please do not let any dooctor tell you that you need to have your prostate taking out.  Your to young for that crap

Your story is identical to mine. My penis feels cold and small. My eyes itch like crazy. It doesnt hurt to pee but is uncomfortable after. I do have BPH...Im 60 yerad old. ive had MRIs and a CT ...also a cysto and all clear. My perineum is sore and my groin is as well. lower back has pain although I'm had lower back issues my whole life so I'm not sure if that's related or not. This has been going on for several months now with no relief. I know BPH can cause these symptoms. I was just hoping it was something else that could be treated with some sort of antibiotic. nothing seems to help.
