Dear Ladies

I am sharing my two year perimenopause  dairy on this forum. Hopefully it will help some of us ladies shed some  light on our symptoms which I have been noted on my day to day life for over two years.

my symptoms started about three years ago, I am a young 51 years old, when I first talk to my doctor about my symptoms he didn't believe it was perimenopause instead he put it all down to stress.

my symptoms started with bloating, skin itchiness, mood swings, hives, body rash, breast  pains, bone pain, periods every three weeks, body heat.

my symptoms would appear suddenly and after a few days it disappear.

Each time a new symptoms would come up, to include,( headache, migraine type), tight scalp, leg pain, loss of intimacy, abdominal pain, nipple soreness/tenderness, wrist/elbow pain, ankle pains,

Lately I have been experiencing, blood pressure fluctuations, burning sensations in my mouth, dry mouth, panick attacks, fear when I'm alone, crashing  fatigue, loss of energy.

Loss of appetite, nausea, gastric problems.

I  Also get flu like symptoms, tiredness, dry eyes, sadness.

Shoulder pains, thinning hair,

doctors have done lots of tests and cannot find anything wrong with me.

Dear Kadija, this is all about me. Some symptoms disappeared but new appeared. Last years I had mainly physical symptoms, pains, migraines, stomach issues, but since the last year my symptoms turned to psychological. I see this side of peri more awful. Anxiety, fears, panick, it is worse than physical pain for me. At 56 I still have periods and I hope it will end soon, but I always worry about what comes next.

Yesterday it's been a fairly good day, no symptoms, had loads of energy, felt like I'm 20 yrs old...LOL...

last week was so bad, I spent so much on doctors bills, leg scans to rule our blood clots as my leg was so painful, had ultrasound on pelvis as it was bad abdominal pains, doctors found bulky uterus, I also have 3small fibroids. This week no pelvis pains at all.

i have to keep monitoring my blood pressure as they keep going up and down at anytime.

I'm also scared to travel as last time I was on a flight my BP shot up mid flight, it was so scary, gives me bad headache, trips to the toilet, anxiety. Now my doctor recommends I check my BP everyday..

I am also on BP meds. I use to enjoy travelling to visit my families abroad, now I'm not sure as I also get panick attackson flight. OMG.. How long will it be like this?  More updates soon.

Dear ladies, during the last year I changed my lifestyle a lot. I eat healthier, and regularly. I try a bit of exercise every day-yoga, spinning, dance, Chinese style. I exercise at home, because I do not have time to spend an hour or so somewhere, and I don’t want to be around people.  I have enough at work.  I meditate almost every day in the evening and sometimes in the morning, when I have a doom and gloom morning. I walk every day. I decide to return to my earlier hobbies- to study languages, for example.  I take some vitamins- B, C, magnesium, D, calcium.

I try to go on, but it is so difficult. Low mood, health anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, plus periods, still at 56.

I am in the management, so communicating with people is my job, and I am really good at negotiating etc. , but I feel so fed up with everything. I want to run away and hide somewhere, but I know it’s not a solution. Peri is really a trying time. When I become the goddess every book on menopause speaks about? smile
