Hello, do any of you feel like since perimenopause started that you get low blood sugar as well? I feel like if I dont eat first thing in the morning or little things throughout the day I get the jelly legs, shaky, weird head etc.....then the anxiety of course. Has anyone else felt this way?

I was experiencing low blood sugar episodes a lot last year. I started drinking protein shakes which helped keep me feeling fuller up to 4 hours (instead of just 2 hours when I didn't have it). Also started carrying protein bars with me just in case. I think this helped keep me from gaining weight. I think this must've helped train my body because I have been able to cut back on the protein shakes this year.

Yep, sure did. I got the idea of drinking protein shakes from someone else in this forum. I am so glad I found this place.  A lot of suggestions people gave have helped me a lot.

YES! All the time. It feels like your head and legs don't connect and you're going to pass out. Protein helps...eggs, chicken, fish. It's rough on vegetarians. I was tested and it's all hormones. Those bad, nasty hormones having a big party in your body. I'd wish they'd all go home. Most unwelcome guest. This kicks in anxiety and can make you overeat. It does lighten up. Hang in there!!
