Perimenopause or Anxiety or ???

Hi everyone,
I recently joined this, my first ever forum, in the hope of gaining knowledge and sharing experiences on the strange symptoms I have been experiencing the last few weeks.
My first post focused on Anxiety and the possibility of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It has recently been brought to my attention, there is a possibility my symptoms could be hormone related. Something I never actually considered.
Brief list of symptoms...
Fatigue (groggy and heavy type tiredness)
Brain Fog
Feeling detached and 'spaced out'
Weak and Shaky
Jelly Legs
Weak Fingers and Toes
Sensitive to light and sound
Sometimes feels like I have flu or a bad virus (even though I know I don't)
Light Headed
Light Dizziness
Easily tired out
Occasional Palpitations
Frequent urination (occasionally)
Anxious (more so than usual)
Brief History...
I have had anxiety issues, on and off, for many years and also hormone induced migraines. This year the migraines are definitely worse and so too is the anxiety. I had an 8 day brutal migraine early/mid September, followed by 8 days of severe brain fog/dull fuzzy head. I haven't been the same since. I'm also wondering if my symptoms are migraine related? I've had 2 full blood tests done and 2 urine samples taken. All came back normal/clear and healthy. I've also been to see an ENT consultant who ruled out an inner ear virus. He also checked my throat and balance. I had a full eye examination last week and my eyes are in great shape. I have an MRI booked next week and also an appointment to get an ECG recorder fitted for 48 hours.
My symptoms are so broad and general, it could be a number of things... I have even considered CFS. Now I'm thinking it could be hormone related? I feel more anxious not knowing what this is!
Is anybody experiencing anything similar?
Any replies/advice would be greatly appreciated x

For women who suffer with brain fog, and memory issues in perimenopause, low levels of B6 could be part of the problem. Depression, confusion, and an inability to concentrate are all associated with B6 deficiency. Vertigo, dizziness, and heart palpitations are also common complaints from women going through perimenopause. All of these symptoms have been associated with (among other things) a B12 deficiency. Vitamin B6 can also help with stubborn weight gain in perimenopause. It is key in the breakdown and utilization of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in our diet, and is necessary for a healthy metabolism - both which can help manage weight.
blimey i will be rattling soon... all I take 😮

certainly worth mentioning, and having a test to check, think you have to ask for the vit B12 test as I dont think its part of the full routine bloods... so the ladies mentioned ... good luck Jay xx

Hope you're all bearing up... Please, please consider asking for b12 tests, it's amazing how much it makes your other symptoms worse. I am having my fix on Monday and am soooo ready for it, started with palpitations more and very lightheaded, but saying that, I'm constantly bunged up with the sinuses grrrr...
Anxious face...WOW! you've done fantastically well got an appointment with my doctor next week so any advice will be gratefully received... What do you say to a man who doesn't feel these feelings? I am starting up with my symptoms again so I will be either balling like a baby on him or about to thwack him lol xxx
Jaynee... Never thought about B6. That's definitely one to look at... You've gone through such a lot, I'm only just at the beginning on my journey... For all you ladies who have been going through this for years, hats off to you all and I'm so pleased I found this site xxx
Wishing you all well and sending lots of hugs xxx

It is amazing how just sharing with one another can do so much for the soul. Helps me a lot with my anxiety. Just knowing I can come to this site, and read what others are going through. Realizing I am not alone in this, and there are others who totally understand!!!
A lot of you talk about the dizziness, lightheaded, being off balance. For the last couple of weeks I have felt really off-balance. The best way I can describe the feeling in my head. It is almost like a floating sensation. Sometimes it feels like pressure in my head. When I walk it feels like I am not walking on solid ground. Does that make sense? Is this similar to what anyone else feels. I find it to be frightening. It makes me feel like I am going to literally fall over.
Hugs to all!!!

Exactly how I find myself feeling, couldn't explain it any better if I tried. I was like, what the heck am I experiencing? It's almost like being on a ferry on the Channel!
Jay,
Can't believe celebs use it B12 like that... How the other half live eh! Is the B12 mix thick or watery? The nurse injects to the upper arm and it can be like having a flu jab afterwards (stiffness)... You're a brave lady injecting yourself! I think monthly is probably good to be honest, I'm very ready for my injection now... Gimme my fix lol xxx please keep us posted how your injections go and I am gonna be visiting boots this weekend to look at supplements. Not too keen on doing too much until I've seen the doctor.
Keep well ladies,
Sharon xx

oh its okay... they go in deltoid muscle in arm yes like the flu jab, or in thigh muscle or butt muscle, top side ..
you shouldnt get too much stiffness... maybe she shoves it in too quick or injects the liquid too fast... relax your muscle as people tend to tense it then it is painful after....
yes i saw a pic in net of rita ora having one put in her butt by her hairdresser and it wasnt even in the right place .... they are crazy... no where near the muscle ... terrible ....
Biovea is a good website for vits and free delivery over a certain amount... i used them for years before realising i could buy them at the farmacia here...
the do melatonin too for the sleepless nights...

Maybe my nurse is a darts player and thinks she's hitting double top haha... Will try and relax more on Monday
Makes me wonder what a hairdresser is doing with vials of B12 anyway, very peculiar.. I'll stick with my nurse I think!
I'll definitely have a look at that site, so need something for my sleeping - guaranteed to wake up at about 2pm each night
