After 12 weeks, but only bend as far as is comfortable.

I do find I can do more each day. Recovering better than I thought or was told by other people. Its all good.

At day 10 and could not imagine the day you described - thank you.

I just achieved 40 degrees on abductors and felt a small victory as these have been my nemesis and I still cannot do outgoing w/o a tiny assist to overcome gravity. Getting on and off the floor - seems more than a little distant but another 'hill to climb' and all that 😂

Hi I was just told by my PT that I am doing the clam wrong.  I had been doing my own self directed physio from watching youtube videos etc as got none from the hospital, but went to a private PT today.  Apparently I have been using my back muscles and not the gluteus medius to do this excercise... hence sore back doh!  Still only week 4 and I think I am otherwise doing very well.

Yes it can be difficult my physio told me not to lean back and to keep my hip facing straight upwards so as not to be using the back muscles

I'm intrigued ... How are we supposed to get into and back up off the floor. I asked my physio last week but he could not tell me

It all seemed a but complicated and something I won't be trying again in a hurry :😀

I was given a booklet from my hospital, with photographs of a man doing all the movements and at what stage you can try them. Its been very helpful.

How many weeks are you post op? and when did you start clam exercise?

I am 4 weeks tomorrow. Do you recommend looking at youtube videos for more exercises?

I was told pre op to be patient the first 6 weeks and take care of myself eat healthy plenty rest short walks and basic exercises the foot paddling, clenching and knee raises and tbh I'm glad I didn't do more I now feel physically well enough to add extra things, every week I have felt a bit stronger, no raised toilet seat now 😀and very little use of a crutch good luck along ur journey x
