Piece of skin attached to glans (pictures attached)

I have a piece of skin that is connected to my glans from my shaft. It is odd in that it is, i'm not sure how to say it, hollow? It doesn't really cause any discomfort and I am 29 and it's never gotten in the way of anything but it is strange and I guess curiosity has finally gotten the better of me so I figured I would ask to see if anyone could tell me what it is or how it got like this.  It's extremely noticeable during an erection but again it doesn't get in the way of anything it just looks a little odd, although no one has ever said anything about it.

    Hello!,

I have been looking at few posts about same thing recently,I have exact same problem and reached 41 yrs age with it!.

I have always wanted to get it sorted out.Only problem i have with it is when having intercourse it is painfull some times at start,But have always put up with it.I was not the type when younger to go anywhere about it(scared).

But have wondered if during sex if it split as there as been times it slightly as and did bleed.

I have also wondered if it could be cut by my self too.

But if i did get it put right i don't want to get it all circumsized.

Not now anyway maybe left it too long,And dont want it to change/affect anything in future.

I have thought when younger that it was just me.:)

when i seen this post and that it was quite recent i thought i would have my say. /;)

Skin tags between the shaft and head of the penis are quite common and if you imagine all the men in the world that have these, many even today to not have access to medical care and therefore have the tags all their life.

If you have a good working relationship with your Family / Regular Doctor / GP then mention it the next time you see them. Yes it is a minor surgical procedure - but you need to know how to prevent infection so I would not recommend you try to do this yourself.

If you happen to live in the UK you can go to a GUM Clinic at your local General Hospital, or give them a ring first, say you have a skin tag you would like sorting out and they may book the minor surgery session for you.

Are you jewish, or muslim? Where did you get circumcised? If you go to a professional circumciser, they know how to deal with it very easily.

Advise from a physician: This is an "adhesion"-- scar tissue that formed probably after your circumcision, where the skin from your glans continued to adhere to the shaft of you penis after the foreskin was removed. This is primarily a cosmetic issue, but it can potentially cause some discomfort with erections. I WOULD NOT advise attempting to cut this yourself.

I have the same thing but around almost all of my glans from my foreskin, I'm wondering if I should go see a doctor. When I "get it on" my foreskin sometimes rips a little and starts to sting.

You have a penile adhesion or skin bridge. It probably occurred shortly after you were circumcised (as a infant), although uncircumcised guys can get it too. Basically, you formed scar tissue when the skin from your shaft continued to stick to the skin on your glans (head). This is probably just a cosmetic issue (i.e. looks strange), but for some guys it can cause tugging during an erection, and even tear during intercourse. If this is the case, I advise you to see a health care provider who will probably send you to a urologist to have it cut.

Heyya, So.. not the advice everyone is giving and probably also not one you're asking (so hate me for it if you want) but.. i also used to have something like this on the front of the head though, Why "used" you might ask? well cuz i got rid of it, so.. it might not exactly be physical issue that's bothering you, but according to me (atleast) aesthetics matter too.. So how?

Well for me it was just a bad week and a triggered night, so i wouldn't prescribe that! but probably get a numbing gel or cream (something with lidocaine hopefully?) wash it thoroughly with soap and warm water before, dab it dry, apply gel, get a pair of scissors (cuz easy and quick) or a razor blade if that's more like your thing and you want absolutely perfection to the dot! basically... yeahh so then just pull and snip! it might bleed a little, and that's fine, it'll cure in a few days!

alternatively, i can also suggest the better, safer (kinda, not really tho) and less painful option (if you wanna go the no numbing route, this one will be preferable, so.. again like the first, wash, clean, dry, apply (if not that's fine too) and just get from floss or a plastic thread (maybe from wife's old necklace? lol don't come after me if she kills you later tho) or just a thick, strong thread in general, if you've got small hands then that's fine, otherwise get a needle and pass the thread (no you don't have to poke a hole anywhere, it's just easy directing the thread with needle) and tie the thread tightly around both the points where the connect with the body! stretch the skin a little before and while tying (easier if someone close can help you with it!) and yeahh so that's about it, tie it tight, maybe pull a little extra (easier with gel or cream) and that's done then, keep it clean, use soap if possible (or soap free body wash or some?!) and yeahh! in a few days it'll all be done ✌🏻, for a faster result you can try just stretching the thread a bit tight everyday, but if it pains just leave it be βœŒπŸ»πŸ€™πŸ».. andd you're welcome now (if you go my route, that issπŸ’πŸ»)
