Hello

i have struggled with a lot of menopause issues, but does anyone have any advice for menopause peripheral neuropathy

i have had countless blood tests , scans & mri and all clear for any other medical issues , which is great . I have tried low dose hrt patches but they made me feel quite faint & gel but did not help!

Its hard not to overthink things but all tests are fine so must be these lovely hormones

Hello. I wish I had some helpful advice but I'm in the same boat! I started having the same tingling/burning in my extremities a year and a half ago, 2 years into Menopause at the age of 55. My GP checked me out, even referring me to a Rheumatologist. Neither really had an answer for me. We just sort of took a wait and see attitude. Eventually the tingling just sort of faded to mild and intermittent episodes. It comes and goes so I started doing my own research and read that a drop in Oestrogen and/or Estrogen affects nerves causing tingling/burning sensations in some women. On top of that, anxiety has become a huge problem for me since my late forties so I now believe that was due to Perimenopause and it's only increased with time. And tingling is a symptom of anxiety.

Some days are really bad, then throw in the heart "flutters" and I feel like I'm losing my sanity. I imagine all sorts of horrible things. I hate being afraid and that's all I feel these days. I'm hoping a new GYN will have some ideas. But I really hope it's all hormonal and I'd be fine with it...I can deal with that.

One thing I do know is Menopause is not for sissies. I sure hope you find some answers and relief soon. Maybe someone else has some info that will put us at ease. Best of luck to you!

hormone fluctuations mess with your central nervous system hence the numbness and tingling xx
