Hi I had mine today aswell. Assessor was nice tbf, although some questions did not put what I was saying as said will not make a difference or score, somethings will contradict my form but will see what happens when get the outcome. I completed in form that I'm monitored taking medication as I have taken more than I should do in the past & have done this often, said I wouldn't scored for this as its my choice to do this & I do t have learning disabilities or mental health issues so I wouldn't score even though I did score on this for my first application. Things like cooking aswell said I can do this but I can't make a full meal as I'm unsafe to do so but I could make beans on toast etc if needed & things like prompting meals wouldn't give me a score which this did previously but said I wouldn't be scored anything as I have capacity to eat/drink etc even though medications make me not hungry & feel sick so I can go days without eating & am always prompted & made to eat but said I won't score. I've not got a good feeling about this tbh. Now for a long wait for result thanks

I had my interview on the 23rd September and had a text today to say they have received all they need.
Did they really point out things you wouldn't get points for?

Hi, I've put in a claim for pip for my anxiety, mostly social aniexty. I've just received my letter for a home assessment and I'm really panicking about it all.. Weather they will judge me or something bad happening to me why they are hear, does anyone no roughly how long they will be here for?
I can not leave the house by myself, and if I do leave the house it has to be with my mum my daughters dad. I rely on them to take and pick her up from school. I get my shopping delivered to me. I daren't shower or put the oven on why it is just me and my daughter are home incase I pass out and something bad happens. Does anyone no were I stand with my claim? This whole thing is really getting to me and just making me panick.... Especially about a stranger coming into my home to asses me!? Any help, thoughts would be much appreciated xx

My sons meeting lasted an hour and because it caused him so much stress she told him it was alright for him to go back to his room and talking to me his mum would be enough, so I'm glad as he was so nervous

Hi you should still continue to get your award up until a new decision is made. I had my face to face home visit today see above. She was nice & put me at ease but that doesn't mean to say my report will be what as been discussed or if I will still be entitled as it's not her decision it's the decision maker who will decide on the award. She informed me of various things that I would/wouldn't get points for yet on my first application I got points for. Time will tell. They must have to put a time frame within there report if still think qualify as I was told they would probably look at my case again in 2 years, I suppose it's all down to what they decide & if I will still be entitled to pip. I also spoke about my depression anxiety but she said its part of the pain side as to why you fee like that, yep it's caused because of that but the problems that it causes is all another contributing factor to my overall disability. Hopefully I will find out about my award quickly as I won't sleep until I know.

That's good that allowed that. I find the questions very hard to answer & I definately think some of the points which I should score I probably won't by what she was saying, there are quite contradicting & will not tally correspond with my application form so could possibly require reconsideration if it is awarded. Medication issues I scored previous but made out that because I have the capacity to choose to take more than I should would not score even though I do get monitored by my family/partner. Cooking I won't score as I can put stuff in microwave etc & my mood depression is not a serious mental health it's side effect from the condition I have etc. I'm just slightly concerned as stuff I've scored on in the past I don't think I will this time round by what was said even though those points are still very true & happen. I'm not sure how long you have to wait to be able to request to ask for a copy of the report. Thanks

Hi do I understand you right that they moved you off DVLA/PIP onto attendance allowance (correct me if I'm wrong) didnt think they could do that so long as you were under 64 when you were awarded it.
As I say correct me

No I was not quite 65 when PIP came in - 65 in June 2013.
?I had DLA from 1995 and late last year they wanted me to move over to PIP. You have a choice - telephone to start the claim off or fill in the form PIP1. I wanted a written record so asked for the PIP1. Eventually the DWP denied receiving the two letters requesting the form and by the time I telephoned them to find out where the form was I was over the 30 days limit to make the PIP claim. So they closed down the offer of PIP as I had not complied with the 30 day rule, and because I had been refused PIP they also shut down the DLA award.
?This then caused the closure of the Guaranteed Pension Credit award, all of the financial help they had been giving me towards the mortgage interest and the 100% reduction of the Council Tax. This meant a loss of £300 a week.
?Because I am now over 65, 68 in fact, I cannot make another PIP claim. I can claim Attendance Allowance however. So I put in a claim for that benefit only to be told that following a face to face assessment I do not qualify - their words - I don't need the care/help that I claimed I did.

Can you appeal or is that not a possibility.
Does make you wonder who makes the decisions because if the assessment personnel don't decide then why do you get interviewed by them, I personally think its ultimately down to them or it would be like seeing your Dr and then an unqualified member of staff deciding how sick you are, or is it like I believe that they just punch tick boxes like you can do on the website and it gives out the scores, but we tick different answers.
