PIP ASSESSMENT

So guys we have all read some horror stories about the lies they write in there reports ! So i was wondering if it falls under the catogory of falsifying documents. If they are lying on public documents then they are commiting a crime ! I for one will be pressing charges if my assesment is not as it should be !! Here is the definition of falsifying documents

“Falsifying documents” is a type of white collar crime. It involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deceiving another person. It can also involve the passing along of copies of documents that are known to be false. In many states, falsifying a document is a crime punishable as a felony.

So if they are modifying it for the DWP descion maker then surely its against the law ??

Oh my I never thought of this. They lied about what I can and can't do. Still waiting for MR decision. But my mum will ring again this week for update. She will now mention this. Good thinking Michelle.

So Guys had my home assessment. The lady arrived at 8:50 10 mins early . Showed her my ID and also showed her a letter off my doctor copy of my ESA medical report and copy of my perscriptions. She had a really good read of the ESA report and then noted on herr laptop she had seen them . She asked me all the usual questions and i answered as truthful as i could. Also got a little tearful due to the pain and discomfort but also to all the build up of stress and anxiety this visit. She asked me if i was ok to do a serious of exercises but she also said i wouldn't recommend you do them if it is going to cause you pain and discomfort during and i don't want it to have a knock on affect later. I told her probably better if i declined as i was not in any fit state. She noted down exersice declined due to pain and discomfort. She also explained that the descion will take up to 8 weeks and i will get a letter stating how much benefit i would be awarded. I take this a good sign that she didn't say tell you if you HAVE been awarded OR MAYBE THATS WISHFUL THINKING LOL. She also gave me an envelope and said post a copy of my doctors letter and a copy of the ESA report to PIP. She said that although she noted that she had seen them it is always handy for them to have physical copies. The lady then said thank you for your time it was lovely to meet you and to take care. I then asked if she wanted to see her out and she declined. Thank goodness as by this time i was in a right state. So there you have it. Just a waiting game now. My doctor wrote a great letter saying that i have ongoing problems with chronic back pain. And that i suffer from Grade 1 L5 / S1 Spondylolisthesis and a 7 degree Scholiosis which severly affects my mobility. He also stated that i take Tramadol to releive the pain but that this can leave me feeling physically tired and having a low mood. Also i have seen musculoskeletal specialists and the pain clinic and had physiotherapy. Im hoping with that letter and the other report from the ESA Medical that states that i am severly affected and that in her opinion the outcome is it will not get any better that i should have a positive result. Given all the horror stories we have heard you never know with these people !

Will let you all know when i hear back fingers crossed neutral

I'm glad it went ok for you but i do wish these assessors wouldn't say things like that " you'll have a letter stating how much beneift you'll be awarded" it's not there decision to tell anyone that. They're to make a report on what they think. Only a Decision can make that decision. Hopefully for you it's a positive outcome and you don't have to wait too long. Don't forget that you can ring to ask for a copy of the assessment report. Please do come back and let us know that outcome.

Glad that your assessment went OK. As Denise said, it will be worth getting a copy of her report.

Please let us know when you hear.

Hope you have a successful outcome

      Hi Michelle

As you have had the MR, you can ask for the assessor`s report now.

I phoned the DWP on the 0345 number of the DWP letters. The woman who answered was helpful and said she`d e-mail the office who had the assessor`s report and send a copy to me. My copy took about 7 days from the date of the phone call to reach me.

If you are going to apply to take your case to tribunal you only have 28 days from the date on the MR (not from when you received it).

Given this limited time, I told the woman at DWP and she advised me to let the courts know that there might be a delay in applying for court hearing as I was waiting for assessor`s report (fortunately I didnt have to do this as the report arrived in time).

      Apologies Michelle, I got confused.

As you have only just had your first f2f you`ll need to allow time for DWP to receive the assessor`s report. Thoughts vary as to when to ask for this,.

In my opinion, it might be better to ask for it before you receive DWP decision on your claim.

Hi steve i have read conflicting stories on when you can for the report. I have read that you can only ask when you have received the desicion on your claim. Others state that you can ask to see if it has been received by the DWP then once they say yes ask for a copy then. My head already hurts lol

I think you`ll find that you can ask for the assessor`s report DWP have received it (that is before they send the decision to you).

If that is the case (and if I`m wrong I hope someone wlll correct me), then would suggest that you phone DWP, ask if they`ve received the report, and if they say "yes, e`ve got it", then ask for a copy.

Sorry I added to your already hurting head.

You can ring and ask for a copy of the report the next day but they'll only forward a copy to you once they've recieved both copies (that's the paper one and digital one)

Decision times vary massively and totally depends on many factors. Area being one of them, how long the backlog is and whether they have all the info they need to make a decision. Usually it's between 2-8 weeks.
