Hi all... had my first pip assesment afew days ago... to start with i applied due to limited mobility and struggles because of my back... assessor was really nice and spebt over an hour just on mobility questions it was almost like she was filling out the form for me! (as i struggled with my form and didn't go into loads of detail... but i think from the state i was in she felt for me unless I'm living in fairyland haha! anyway near the end she said i don't even want you to attempt to do the physical exam! is this a good sign do you think? it's drivingme mad not knowing and waiting! she also only said ill get backpay from when i first asked for the forms it was like she thought i was going to get an award!?

Sammy,
I didn't see the comment regarding the report sorry.
May i ask what you scored for the daily living part? Does it recommend an award? The daily living part is important too because it this that may mean you're entitled to other benefits but of course that will depend what other benefits, if any you're claiming.
For the MR, first of all you need to be 100% sure that there's no chance that you'll lose any award that you may already have. When requesting the MR they look at the whole award again and not just part of it.
Although most MR decisions remain the same there's a chance you could lose everything you already have, as well as the award to be increase.
You need to put your request in writing stating where you think you should have scored those points and your reasons why. Then add a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you.
You should avoid mentioning any lies/contradictions that may have been told in the report because you can't prove what did or didn't happen during the assessment, it will be your word against theirs. If it gets to Tribunal and most do then pointing out all of this will only weaken your case. DWP and Tribunal won't be interested in any of that. All they will want to know is where and why you think you should have scored points.
Any complaints about the report should be sent to the health assessment providers.
In the mobility part you said you ticked the wrong box so you will need to explain this in the MR and tell them that you made a mistake in the box that you ticked. Tell them how far you're able to walk without pain and discomfort. Explain what happens when you walk. what pain do you experience, what does it feel like, do you need to rest after walking a certain distance? how long do you need to rest for and why do you need to rest? If you walked to the end of a road, would you be able to walk back again and would you be able to walk that same distance later that same day? If it's no then tell them why. Do the same for all other activities that you think you should have scored points in and didn't.
You'll very likely have to take it to Tribunal because most people do. Do be aware that backlogs are huge across most of the country and lots of people are waiting about a year for a hearing date. Appearing in person will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour. Hope this helps.
