PIP ASSESSMENT FAIL

Got report back last Friday and was amazed by the lies in it, missing out meds, not noting new meds. Normal head & neck movement yet on med records it says restricted movement. Good to know a nurse as said I will get better when specialist said the opposite. I took a friend and I held on to her as my balance isnt to good. Yet he says its 20 meters from waiting room to interview room and I managed it on my own.I am so angry. Phoned ATOS and asked about starting an offical complaint as PIP told me.

Also waiting for phone call from case manager from PIP. I will fight this & I will contact my local mp. I cannot believe the gov still as ATOS doing assessments. Has anyone else had this problem and how did it end. Thanks for reading x

    Hi paula yes i had the dreaded letter that dla was being stopped for people aged 16 to 65 and to apply for pip i to was disgusted by the things i was seeing i got 0 points completely through out all the pip test and the explaination on the back amazed me i have grand mal epilepsy where i just fall to the ground unconciouss and shake and some of the question in the form applied to me i.e cannot bath or shower unsupervised as is obvious for my own safety and cannot cook as is obvious because of my safety aswell as i already have burns on my stomach from when i did last try to cook for myself and woke up with frying pan oil burnt into my skin and was in hospital which is why my partner is now my full time carer. this was all meantioned in my form and asessment, aswell as my hospital report sent in from my burns stating how i got them but yet for some reason they think as stated i can bath unaided un supervised and i can cook un supervised basically its like what i have told them means nothing which really is common sense really they dont need evidence to know that someone with epilepsy is in danger bathing and cooking without supervision at the very least as my burn have aswell confirmed that i have already contacted my local mp about my situation and am awaiting contact and advise that you do so, it cant do any harm thats what it says there for to help with aswell as other things to but i am taking this all the way and am not going to let them get away with the lies they are saying making me out to be a lier also in the process.and i believe im eligable but if they understood and was honest but i didnt meet the criterea it wouldnt be so bad id still appeal because i belive im eligable but whats angered and upset me most is they have outright lied

      Hi Jamie. Sorry to hear that. Well I found something out. I was talking to a nurse who worked for atos for a short while. They get extra money if the lets say downgrade a person. That is why they lie on reports. They can even do the report at home if they want. The things I was getting told was a right eyeopener. I now know what to expect next time. I went to appeal and half won. Which i'm greatful for. I would tell anyone please go and see ur local CAB advisor. Get more evidence from anyone who helps you even your partner. CAB was a great help for me. The appeal wasn't to bad a DWP rep was there and she started to talk down to me. I lost with her I did apologise but said she cannot know what its like. She can do thing for herself. She said she didnt mean anything bad about it. Hope you get sorted sweet. X
