PIP ASSESSMENT FAIL

Got report back last Friday and was amazed by the lies in it, missing out meds, not noting new meds. Normal head & neck movement yet on med records it says restricted movement. Good to know a nurse as said I will get better when specialist said the opposite. I took a friend and I held on to her as my balance isnt to good. Yet he says its 20 meters from waiting room to interview room and I managed it on my own.I am so angry. Phoned ATOS and asked about starting an offical complaint as PIP told me.
Also waiting for phone call from case manager from PIP. I will fight this & I will contact my local mp. I cannot believe the gov still as ATOS doing assessments. Has anyone else had this problem and how did it end. Thanks for reading x

At 67 having had High Mobility/Middle Care DLA since 1995 (with many regular re-assessments) who in their right mind would want or could cope with that for the next 20 years? I'm too damn old and disabled to cope with that system - just give me a peaceful life for my final years.

I got penalised the other day for turning up to a community mental health team appointment on my own...
I explained that I have no brothers or sisters, my partner is disabled and my parents work full time.
What choice did I have?
Felt punished for trying to get well. It was a big ask for me to get there; I was up all night before hand worrying, but this seems to mean nothing.
The whole system is so unfair.
Everyone here has my deepest sympathies.
Love to all xxx

I personally think that they should leave the over 60's on DLA.
I know what it must be like for you. After all the stress it's caused me.
Well I do hope you have an easy tranfer from DLA to PIP sweet x

I can feel for you - I have done the same, although there is now no scope to apply for PIP in the future - too old.

I would have gone along with your suggestion if DLA had remained an option for me.

Having said this though at least us ones on state pension will have some money for survival,, i feel for those who are younger, trapped in the 'working age' section with really with bad health on going problems, being told by PIP your well enough to work yet being turned away from JSA as clearly not fit to work,, so these ones end up with nothing and if under 25 dont always get help with rent either. Appauling.

I think you will find the DWP are doing the exact opposite. It appears the over 60's are being targgeted first.

Presumably this is because everything tends to get worse when you get older so the DWP don't want aged pensioners claiming for needs that didn't exist in 2013.

Once it is announced, then they will notify you of the closure and suggest that you ask for help from Social Services such as a carer coming in a couple of times a day - you have to have a care needs assessment by them first followed by a financial assessment to see if you should contribute towards any care offered.
