    Hi

I can only agree with what's already been said, it's well worth getting a copy of the report whatever happens.

It's normally 3/4 weeks minimum from f2f meeting but there have been a lot of non working days because of Christmas.

    Wishing you all the best

      Hi,

I would disagree with those timescales. The reason being is because there is no timescales. DWP will tell you 3 weeks from assessment. I've actually know people have a decision in less than 2 weeks. My decision at review just over 1 year ago was 5 days after my assessment. Some are waiting 6+ weeks. It really does depend on the backlog in your area.

I agree, I waited less than 2 weeks and had my first payment within 2 weeks, others have waited up to 8/10 weeks, there's no set time scale

I know very little about our benefits system, angela, but I would imagine that you fit the criteria.  Good luck. x x x

There's a really big push going on at the moment within DWP to meet those timescales a maximum waiting time because of the negative publicity around waiting times x

So what is the timescale so that we can give this information out when we give advice on site and off when I do telephone advise.

I'm really glad that have decided to do this

Strange that since my daughter recently waited over 5 weeks for her decision....

It's not an exact science but they are aiming for decisions to take no longer than two to four weeks from date of t h e f2f meeting.

Yes there maybe times when they don't meet that target but in the main that is happening.

      All the best

Unfortunate Denise but not too far out from the 2/4 week target and obviously can be effected by Bank Holidays and unforseen circumstances.

All the same a big improvement from whatsoever seen in the past.

To be honest Wendy I like Denise have had quite a lot of experience with the application for DLA which I think was introduced about 1992 and then the change over from DLA to PIP in about 2012, can't actually remember the exact dates it started from, seems an age ago, I have also had some experience with first applications for PIP and AA and right from the start the time scales were anything from 2 weeks to 6 weeks or that was the aim and on the whole they haven't done to bad when in reality the % who have to wait ages and come on site is quite small, so as far as I can see things haven't changed in the real world

Sorry Christopher your answer is completely random and really unhelpful to Angela unless of course you have inside information that we don't know about?? best to try and be at least supportive no matter what your personal views are.

I'm presuming yours went against you

I agree with Alexandria, your comment is not needed and pointless. People come here for advice when they need it most, the last thing they want to see is comments like this! Please at least have some consideration for others when commenting. Not everyone has a bad experience, regardless of what you see on the internet.
