PF is a real pain in every sense. Trouble is it so often re-occurs with no guarantee how long it will last or how severe it will be.

I have tried Ibuprofen gel and Arnica gel but don't think either did much good.

In the past I have found that wearing Reebok Easytone shoes helps. These shoes have a well cupped heel and arch support, and also soft air pads for the heel and ball of the foot.

Let us know how you get on.

I had plantar for over a year. If you don't recover tith ice and stretches with in six months it is likely from the calves being too tight. If your calves tendons don't have the slack they need for your foot to flex, you develop plantar. Most podiatrist are not specialist in the issue of the tight calves, so you should see a orthopedic if it continues.

I am 3 weeks post op from a double gastroc release, with additional double plantar release. I did everything. Cortisone, ice, rest, splints, insoles, physical therapy, acupuncture, and nothing helped. I got immediate relief in plantar after the surgery. No regrets.

Get with an orthopedic dr if you symptoms persist. Best of luck.
