please help, dizziness for months

Hello

I have been very much struggling with constant dizziness since November 2016, my symptoms are dizziness when standing, sweat sometimes quite a bit, feel faint sometimes-these symptoms get extremely worse for some reason when eating with others/socializing.

All my bloods came back good, and doctors told me my BMI was very low-i have been using drinks and eating more and got my BMI to just under 17 but feel no better yet and get very nervous thinking I've been misdiagnosed and something bad is going on, what is going on?

Your BMI is very low which may account for the dizzyness. It also sounds like it may have something to do with anxiety which will make you feel worse.

Maybe you should go back to the Drs to discuss these issues (or have you already?)

Was your blood pressure normal when sitting to standing? A shot in the dark but look into POTS.

Thanks for the response, I had it checked yes and the doctor said it was normal

It is my understanding that it can only be diagnosed correctly with a tilt table test.

      I wish you luck.

Do you have dizziness while sitting, or lying down?  I notice you only mention standing.

Thanks fro your reply, When lie down i can sometimes get it but mainly when I'm standing up, lying on my bed usually relieves it for a while until i stand or sometimes can make it worse and i feel faint but i yet to faint and I've had this for months.

As a fellow writer has commented here, have you done the tilt test, or had your blood pressure measured while sitting up from a lying down position?

Yes  thanks, ive had blood pressures checked but they all seem to think it is more to do with weight and panic attacks/anxiety

Because your symptoms do not seem to be triggered by head movement with respect to gravity, it does not appear to be vestibular (balance, inner ear) related.  Hence the thinking about possible blood pressure issues.  However, you say that this has been ruled out.  Therefore, to prove if indeed that weight and panic attacks/anxiety is the cause, then treating these should alleviate the problem.

What have your doctors suggested in treating these?

I seen the psychologist for an hour today, good talks and he will be calling on Friday for next steps as they are now thinking it could be anxiety as much as anything.
