Please someone has to have this feeling too? :(

Sorry to post again but I'm freaking out and have no where else to turn. No one I know has vertigo/dizziness or any CNS problems so I'm so alone with this.

Does anyone ever feel like they're walking on uneven ground? Almost like one leg is longer than the other? Or does it ever feel like the floor is shifting beneath you?

It happens when I walk a semi-far distance (sometimes even short ones) and it makes me not even want to walk and it is scaring the crap out of me. My VNG is Thursday but that feels like a lifetime away.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

    Hi Hayhue

long before I was diagnosed with BPPV - I was sent by a Neurologist to see an eye expert, who said I needed very special, very expensive glasses so that my eyes could focus on different points at different speeds - and that's why the ground looked bouncy?!?! Of course I bought them because I was desperate and tried everything. And of course they did nothing. The issue was that no one diagnosed I had BPPV, so every expert I saw said I had something different.

by the way - the day I had my BPPV treated I stopped wearing glasses altogether. I had regular glasses prescribed to take the stress of my eyes and wore them for three years - once the BPPV was diagnosed and treated I didn't need them at all.

The ground doesn't look like it bounces, it's just when I walk I can feel it.

I'm relatively young (28) so I'm hoping I can get this taken care of or find a cure of some sort or something. I don't want to live like this forever.

I have MS. My most recent weird thing is that I too feel like I'm walking on uneven ground. It's very strange.

Hayhue, You are NOT alone! I have been dizzy for a few weeks lately, and just figured out what might be the cause of my problem, as I had it in the past. Zyrtec! Back then (1990's or so), i had severe vertigo and saw a neurologist. He had me hospitalized for three days, during which I got better. I was discharged with an inconclusive diagnosis.

After the 3 days, I realized that I was not taking Zyrtec, in the hospital. I had been taking it for congestion. Now, In August 2021, I find myself in a similar situation, having seen a doctor for the dizziness, with the feeling my eyes are crossing, making it hard to read things. I did a web search for the condition, and came up with one of this group's members, katewarn39, who had the same symptoms, but so far, no answers. By the way, this recent doctor took a Covid-19 swab test, just in case my symptoms were related. thankfully, results were negative.

I looked up the side effects of Zyrtec, and found vertigo and vision problems.

So this morning, I stopped the Zyrtec (I wasn't really congested anyhow), and will see how this plays out without Zyrtec. By the way, I notice that Zyrtec keeps coming up as a link, so I'm going to follow it later.

So, Hayhue, I hope this helps. maybe you are taking something with similar side effects to yours.
