Pleurisy and Chest Infection Clarithromycin

Could also be your teeth. If you have broken teeth & roots left under the gums...this could lead to sepsis. But in the mean time...you are inhaling all these bacteria...which in turn..causes chest infections...continuously. So,,be mindful of your teeth...make sure they are healthy...get to the dentist & get those old roots extracted, this could be contributing to constant chest infections..even after you take antibiotics...you get better but get sick again a week later. Vicious circle.

I have suffered the same lengthy ordeal. With waking up gasping for air. Flu was tested and negative. Says it’s sinusitis. This is the worst one yet and since the very 1st of the year.   2 antibiotics and 2 steroid injection. Still not better. Hacking up a continuous clear phlegm, vomiting with cough, feeling fatigued, strong pulse, 99.0 fever, hbp, gurgling while breathing, etc...

People are dying from the same symptoms I’m having and I’m concerned. 

Question,  if I have good insurance primary and secondary, why aren’t extensive test being run to clear me of any danger. Not breathing during sleep, I’d say is not good at all.

I read through everyone's comments that posted years ago. But since this Super Bug flu is still going around, I thought I should post. Right now we're in an epidemic with over 4,000 people toung, and middle age that have already died from the flu this year.

I have been sick over 12 weeks. I have taken six different types of antibiotics and 5 round of steroids. I've been to an ENT doctor two times and my primary two times with no avail. Originally I experienced a lot of phlegm, pressure in my ears and spitting up mucus with severe coughing fits and unable to breathe and wheezing . I have not had any fever but have been weak and short of breath . I usually take a lot of natural remedies so I was doing tinctures with a tablespoon of turmeric, a tablespoon of minced garlic, and a tablespoon of minced horseradish and making a tea and sipping on it. This did help some. I was told I had a sinus infection which horseradish helps to alleviate ( the sinus infection turned into walking pneumonia and bronchitis and pleurisy). I had no taste or smell and my ears clogged more with my left ear at a 70% blockage in my right ear at a 30% blockage. I made ear drops, also sat over a pot of hot water with eucalyptus. I also make hottie tottie's with apple cider vinegar added. I tried every remedy that I could find to help. I even put Vicks Vapor Rub on cotton balls in my ears, candle coning, many forms of over-the-counter Homeopathy remedies including occicilium and colloidal silver. I went to chiropractor regularly and massage therapist trying to break up the phlegm . It seemed like most of the Homeopathy remedies works better than all the antibiotics and steroids I took. I very rarely take antibiotics and have never taken steroids before. If I have taken an antibiotic it usually clears the problem within a few days. This time it did not! I would be close to the end of the antibiotic before I started seeing symptoms alleviating but as soon as I stop taking the medication it came back full force. I know mt post is not any way of resolving someone sickness. But I can give some suggestions to maybe help with some of the pain. My mother is an emergency room RN and said there is something with chicken broth and getting the phlegm out. So I would have as much chicken noodle soup and not a lot of dairy products while you're sick. When coughing try not to cough hard. But breathe through your nose and out your mouth and on the third time cough. This will help with nor getting pleurisy and pain in your back. I know this is easier said, than done! But I am trying to help someone to not take so many antibiotics and steroids from me posting this. I had felt beside myself over being so sick since I'm naturally a healthy person. I am glad someone did post, even if it was years ago, to make me realize I'm not alone!

Hi there, I have been going through exactly the same as you it started back in December before Xmas. Just can’t shift it am on my third lot of antibiotics and don’t feel any better. Feel fed up telling the dr all the same symptoms. I was like yourself and didn’t go to gp at first thought I’d shift it myself with numerous cough bottles. Have come to the same conclusion am I ever going to feel any better. Hope this finds you well😊

Hi I've had the same problem for over 3 months, I've had test after test and everything has come back clear. I was told at the hospital it may have something to do with acid reflux but I'm getting worse. My chest is very noisy and keeps me awake at night along with a chronic cough and clear/White mucus,  I have started getting sharp pains under my right bust but I'm not sure if it's due to the amount of coughing.

I feel very tired and drained, although I'm still going to work I'm finding it such a struggle. 

Reading about side effects caused by some of my medication, I'm convinced that it could well have something to do with it although the doctor disagrees. 

I hope it just settles down as I feel that the doctor will think I'm being a nuisance.

Hello mine is such a very long story so I do my best to keep brief & get to th point that all understand ??HERE GOES.My 2grandchildren had chicken pox , so I went over to sandy where my daughter lives now , to my knowledge thought I’d be ok to help my daughter LAURA OUT ????but since I had left them all I came home & started up with a cough , then hot cold , sick, could not eat as cough made me bring up food , all the wrenching made my tum really bad , cut this short if I can sorry !!😯😦my chest hurt & being in my home along except for my furry friend parker Bless Him , I called  111,after all the questions I answered an ambulance came ??😧I felt like a fraud , in lnd hospital I go & that when asbo have no immune systems I was put side ward & chest X-ray given antibiotics through drips & saline keep me from being dehydrated , after all proding poking upto ward 3 high independencey unit ward where I was there for a week 😡😢cam the Friday time for me to leave I say no-one at home to help look after men🙀😾 never mind got my 2 lots antibiotics & pain tablets , & discharged me !! 😿not happy didn’t even get me transport & lady Debbie they were getting her a can 🙀😡😠WHYnno Carol me, I left feeling sad disposed off ! & nearly 3 weeks on I’m got a throat & ear infection ,!! Diagnosed with phemoania feeling really bad this morning waiting for my Wheatfield doctors open & on phone see get appointment ??like you I feel desperate ! So how long did it take before 100% better? Because Im dealing wth the same thing & its been 6mos now, I barely have strength to work a full week yet. I keep feeling like its my Heart wth all my systems in left side & numbness
