Posted , 21 users are following.

I am 30 and have had a very active life, but in the recent year I have became more tired I sleep more than 9 hours a night, I have constant pain in my neck muscles and also my knees.

I have been to the Dr bit all my bloods came back normal (slight elivation in my white blood cells) .

I was wondering if I could possibly have this chronic fatigue syndrome?

Anyone have any idea's

Hi Jill, it's been 2 weeks since your last post. I hope the suggestion helps you? It's too bad that patient.info doesn't automatically send notification through e-mail by default.

I've came up with a hypothesis. And if this cures yours then this would confirm it.

    Hi,

Recently, last Monday to be for sure. I felt a bump on the back of my head. Behind my ear by my hairline. My neck has been sore, I've had headaches just on that side.. I've been nothing but tired lately... I've been to the doctors and she said maybe it's something with allergies or the air. So I got some antibiotics for my nose. My knees have been sore lately too, but that could be that I'm up walking around at work all the time. I thought it might have something with my wisdom teeth, but idk..

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone has any follow ups to any of their stories on here. I've had 2 decayed teeth for a couple of years now and have been having a lot of fatigue and brain fog problems. I had a wisdom tooth with decay about 2 years ago and ever got it extracted and now where the tooth was is just an empty hole that bleeds occasionally. The other tooth is on the top right side at the very back and is about half way decayed. As of the last few months specifically I have been having a lot of fatigue in my arms and have been taking very long naps during the day. I have a dental appointment in 2 days and am really hoping my tooth will get taken out.

Mostly I am wondering where everyone sits at now with their condition. My hope is that by the lack of replies following their tooth extractions that they are no longer having problems and have stopped following up on websites like this. I use to have a lot of energy, but I mostly wrote it off to getting older(I am currently 27 years old).

I had a tooth abscess for over a year and became very ill and constantly exhuasted. Tried root canal which failed. Extracted couple of days ago and feel much better but extremely tired which I hope will go. Infected teeth can make you very ill.

    Hi,

Wow im glad i came across this too, its confimred this hasnt all been in my head!

Ive been to the doctors a few times in the last few months complaining of tiredness, wanting to sleep more, sore muscles, sore arms, weight loss and memory loss.

The dr ran a bunch of tests that came back fine, then she did some "planning on getting pregnant tests" as ill be trying in a few months time and the hepititic c one came back as saying i had had it but dont have it now. This is impossible as i got tested in my last pregnancy and didnt have it, bascially that led me to finding out that you can have a false positive hep c test if you have a chronic infection, as the antibodies fighting the infection cross over or something along these lines.

So i decided to go to the dentist to get checked out, and yes thats when i found out i had a tooth infection that has been going on for a long time time by the looks of the xray. Im curious to know exactly how long, they were a big vague about that but i will ask them again tomorrow when i go there.

So the big day is tomorrow, im getting the infected molar out as well as 3 impacted widom teeth!

Im hoping ill start feeling better after it comes out, I'll keep you posted and let you know how it goes.

How are you? Do you really think it gives a positive hep C result? Anyone any views in bad teeth contributing to allergic asthma?

      Hi,

Still feeling my normal tiredness but its only day 3, other than that ive recovered better than i thought i would and even managed to eat some solids today.

The dentist said by looking at the xray and what ive said he can only assume it was infected for about 6 months (which is how long ive been feeling really tired for).

My doctor said today that she'd never heard of an infection causing a false hep c result before (i actually found that info on google), but she did say she spoke to the lab who tested the blood and both positive hepititis c tests must have been false negatives but they dont know why. She is assuming they are false negatives for a few reasons, one being that the active hep c test (the one that would say if i have hep c now) came back negative, also the 2 positive tests (are tests that show if ive ever had it before) were taken over a week apart and showed they had the exact same levels (so the hep c antibodies were not increasing)

Ill post again if anything else changes, hopefully that will be soon when i get my old energy back, fingers crossed! smile

Hi - I'm due to get a tooth out on Wednesday. How bad is the pain afterwards? Can you eat anything at all the day it's extracted? The tooth has been causing me pain for about a year and finally my dentist realised the root had died and it's infected. I've changed dentists and getting the tooth removed by a new one who will hopefully be able to pick up on things more quickly than the old one!

?I''ve had ME for about 20 years following glandular fever. Although a couple of months before the glandular fever I was given a few fillings at once in one appointment. I'd never had any fillings before and always wondered if there could be any link between my dental problems and the ME. Oddly enough my ME symptoms have been a lot worse over the last year (while I've had the infected tooth). I wonder if there could be any link?!!

I am so glad I've found this.  I've had two root canals on the same molar; the last one about 15 years ago after my jaw swelled to the size of a golf ball.  An abscess developed in September 2016 but drained regularly and I had no pain so I let it go.  Went to my dentist March 3rd and was fustrated over the cost of an extraction and an implant, which I'd need since the molar is located under a sinus.  Added more dental insurace, switched to a dentist that accepts my insurance and my husband's insurance, knowing I need to get this thing out of my head!  Ended up with the flu which delayed seeing my new dentist.  After the symptoms subsided, I was left with fatigue that really sidelined me.  I haven't eaten much in 3 weeks time.  Not convinced it's flu related.  After all this time, started having severe tooth sensitivity and pain when brushing.  The fatigue is just awful.  Getting out of bed in the morning is a real chore.  On my days off, I just sleep all day.

Saw my new dentist last week to evaluate the infected tooth, and he was able to adjust my bite to alleviate the pain somewhat.  He started me on penicillin and referred me to an oral surgeon, who I saw today for my consult.  The tooth comes out tomorrow, and I can't wait!  I hope the fatigue ends.  I need bone grafting, too, and an implant in the summer, then a crown in 2018.  Sigh.  I'm sure it will be well worth it.  It will be interesting to see what changes in my health I notice.  Hoping for the best after reading your stories!

Hi there ! I 've just found this discussion after searching on the Internet if wisdom teeth may be linked with mental tiredness . I know it' s a very old discussion but I hope someone will reply as well.

I' m 21 years old and I' m Italian so I really hope you will understand my English .

My question is : " Can semi impacted wisdom teeth cause chronic mental tiredness and very strong head heavyness ?". I started struggling with these symptoms one year and a half ago and I don' t know what to do anymore. My head is super heavy all the time and it ' s also painful . I feel a kind of relief just when I tilt my head forward . It' s like the blood doesn' t reach my head properly, but I' ve already seen hundreds of doctors and none seems understanding what the problem is. I just know that I have semi impacted wisdom teeth and one of them will be pulled out in 3 weeks . Does anyone know something about these symptoms ? I can' t read, watch Tv, work , drive or study anymore . It' s a NIGHTMARE! And I' m just 21 years old .
