I had my operation on one foot on the 13th of Jan. I had my first visit yesterday and the consultant was very happy with the progress/recovery. I haven't had any pain since I have been taking my pain killersrelegiously for the first 5 days. Today day no8 I didn't take any pain killers. My only concern is that the consultant hasn't given me any instructions as to what exercises I need to be doing once my wound is healed or after 14 days?. The operation I had was scarf, akin osteotomy. Can I ask if any of you was told anything different? I did a bit of research on the internet and most NHS leaflets seem to advise to start moving the foot and ankle asap and after 2 weeks start doing some exercises. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chrysothemi

Week 8 was already possible to make a walk for 1,5 hours. Week 12 we went skiing.
I think when your allowed to move toes and feet from the beginning on and when the swelling stays under control it's not really necessary to do exercises or fysio because your foot stays movible. So just move everything a lot and it comes fine.
